LOS ALAMITOS TB

Race 1

This is one ugly card to end the meet before Santa Anita opens tomorrow but let’s try and deal with it. No. 1 Flyin for a Livin has won two races here from her three starts with a third. No. 5 Kristinite gets her first try on this course but comes off a nine length win at Del Mar and the filly she beat came back to score next out. 1-5

Race 2

Lots of early zip in here so we will look for someone to come late and nail them. No. 5 This Cat’s Awesome is a fit and can sit off a hot pace and is also on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. No. 7 Ultimate Luck will be making a big late run and will appreciate the extra half a furlong he is getting today. 5-7

Double

1st 1-5

2nd 5-7

Race 3

No. 1 Basmati is wheeled back in just 8 days off an easy win and looks to be a single as Baltas is striking while the iron is hot. The main danger will come from No. 3 Sacred Ovation who was a head behind Basmati in his last start at Del Mar and No. 4 Jonny’s Choice off a big win here on the 11th.

1-3-4

Exacta box 1-3-4 and win and place 1

Race 4

No. 3 Sea Royalty is in from Ferndale for John Martin and this one looks very sneaky. No. 5 Jetbird gets her first start off the Paul Aguirre claim and we like that he puts blinkers on and keeps jockey Guce in the irons. 3-5

Race 5

No. 2 Ten Carat Rock comes off a good last win at Del Mar and has a big work since, he remains in top form. No. 3 Crusher won in his only start here and fits here. No. 5 Antinanco gets his first start off the Mike Pender claim and he has him spotted for a big run off a nice gate work on the 19th. 2-3-5

Pick five

1st 1-5

2nd 5-7

3rd 1

4th 3-5

5th 2-3-5

Race 6

$20k maiden fillies and mares go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Blue Cilantro drops into a maiden claimer after being pulled up here in her last start on the 12th, if she is ok she can win this. No. 10 Absolute Package looks live at first asking in a real question mark race. 5-10

Race 7

No. 2 Plane Lucky will be out playing catch me if you can on the front end. No. 3 Fantasy of Luck could key a Luck Luck exacta, this filly was sent off at even money in her first start but never ran a step after a slow break and trouble, she will rebound big today. No. 5 Easy Grader was sent off at 7/5 in her first start and ran a wide race, she gets the hot riding Perez today. 2-3-5

Exacta box 2-3-5

Race 8

No. 1 Desert Madam gets her second start off the layoff and won here last year when coming off a race at Del Mar. No. 5 Anita Marie gets the needed drop in class and will wake up at this level. 1-5

Race 9

This last race is just sooo bad we will go singling but it does call for the all button. No. 8 Oleanderpolarbear will try and take them wire-to-wire. 8 (all)
