2yo Maiden fillies go 6-1/2 furlongs, Jerry Hollendorfer sends out two first-time starters and both look like runners, No. 4 Andiamo with Tyler Baze and No. 7 All in the Proof with Bejarano. 4-7

Race 5

The sprint five furlongs on the grass here in the last leg of the pick five and first leg of the late pick four, No. 3 Second Proposal exits our HTW list off a great try down the hill at Santa Anita when breaking slow and then he came flying late to pick up the place money in his first start on the grass, No. 4 Ferocious ran good on this course one race back and gets a drop in class. No. 8 Pepnic won in his only try on this five furlong grass course. 3-4-8

Race 6

20k maidens go 6 furlongs, No. 4 Anda is a first-time starter for trainer Mike Puype, he is out of the dam Conquian who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters, he finds little to beat, No. 7 Pippappy ran a winning race here last July just missing by a neck, he comes back as a gelding today. 4-7

No. 6 Elektrum exits our HTW list, she was sitting on the also list in the BC filly and mare turf but could not draw in, this looks to be a better spot, we will single. 6

Race 8

20k fillies and mares go 7 furlongs, No. 6 Hide My Heart won her last start when the bug boy Ty Kennedy got on board and also owns a win here at Del Mar, No. 1 Swissarella ran behind Hide My Heart last time out, she gets her first start off the Cerin claim. 1-6

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 6 Nae’ole is the best of the ones that have run here, after him we must use the two shipper droppers No. 1 Foldemorholdem and No. 2 Hamilton High. 1-2-6

Race 2

No. 2 Matter of Luck gets her second start here and second off the Andy Mathis claim, look for her to hold better today, No. 6 Woodys Wharf exits the same race in which she was 7/5. 2-6

Race 3

No. 4 Ninnavee is one tough filly at this level and she gets Gonzo back who won with her one race back, No. 6 Marynetta is a win machine and she gets back to her favorite track. If the speed comes back No. 3 Crystalize will be making a late run. 3-4-6

Race 4

Maiden fillies and mares go a mile on the grass, Peter Miller brings in No. 5 Redheads Rule who has been facing much stronger on the grass and she gets Baze and blinkers on, No. 6 Yaffe also comes to town and she gets the hot riding bug boy David Lopez. 5-6

Race 5

No. 2 Malibu Rum has a very good last work, No. 4 Preacher’s Bluff is a perfect fit at this level as is No. 7 Grumpy Small Mouth who gets Juan Hernandez back in the irons. No. 8 Financial District is a very live shipper. 2-4-7-8

Race 6

Maiden 2yo fillies go a mile on the grass, No. 4 Garnet is in from Del Mar for Simon Callaghan, she may like this turf course, No. 5 Bold Intent is a Scat Daddy who will also take to the grass. 4-5

Race 7

No. 1 Sir Vronski gets off the grass and back on the synthetic where he has won 3 of 4 starts with a second, No. 8 Monsieur Power is in good form and likes this track. 1-8

Race 8

THE 75K PIKE PLACE DANGER

They travel a mile on the grass in this race, Hollendorfer sends out three runners, the one we like is No. 5 Stays in Vegas who was also trying to get into the BC, Solis comes in for the ride, Baze gets on the Simon Callaghan invader No. 3 Corps de Ballet who just won for fun going down the hill at Santa Anita. 3-5

Race 9

Trainer Jack Steiner claimed No. 3 Gurnick for $12,500 and now sends him out for a 4k price tag, not a good sign but Steiner hits at 45% first off the claim, No. 5 Station House is very fast and will get his first try on the synthetic. The dangerous trainer Quinn Howey sends out No. 9 Brenda’s Bar on the drop in class, he is a must use. 3-5-9
