DEL MAR

Race 1

Early speed has been the name of the game at Del Mar and No. 1 Carlsbad Mountain fits the bill, Maldo will be gunning from the bell. Dropper No. 3 Luckbox Sam is the other speed and these two will be right at each others throats from the start. If things get really heated up No. 5 Mistaken Identity will be the one to fear late. 1-3-5

Race 2

Maidens go a mile on the speed favoring grass course. Trainer Belvoir who is still looking for his first win at the meet sends out two runners: No. 1 Itsgettinhotinhere a closer who gets Bejarano for the second time and the speedy No. 2 Xerxes who has been sprinting on the dirt, he will be out winging it on the front end. No. 4 Heat just missed here on this course on the 1st by a half length behind No. 5 Ace Deuce who lost the race by a nostril. No. 8 Royal Journey gets his second start off the layoff and will go long after a good try down the hill at Santa Anita, he gets the hot bug boy David Lopez. After it is all said and done we will side with 4-5-8 and bet the Royal Journey.

Race 3

$20k maidens go a flat mile on the dirt, No. 1 Ghost of Navigator has had his chances but looks very live off that bullet work here on the 13th. He gets blinker on today and this trainer hits at .60% with blinkers back on. No. 8 Dirt in Your Face has run his best two races at this level and is the one to beat. No. 2 Random Joy will wake up with the move to this level and getting off the grass. 1-2-8

Race 4

They go sprinting five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Chips All In showed a likeness for this five furlong course winning here on the 1st. No. 5 Set of J’s has won at this five furlong turf distance in the past and ran good here at the distance back in September. No. 6 Rocket Heat loves this course with two wins and a second from his three starts on it, we will take our shot with the Heat. 6

Race 5

No. 1 Pica took them wire-to-wire in her last start going six furlongs here and now will be stretched out to a flat mile. No. 5 Melanistic has good tracking speed and she gets the hot riding Santiago Gonzalez. 1-5

Race 6

2yo maiden fillies go a mile on the grass. No. 6 Whispering Softly is in from Churchill Downs for trainer Motion who brings in De Sousa for the ride, she will be well bet in her one and only start going this distance on a soft turf and finishing a solid second. No. 9 Sassy Ashley was bet like a good thing in her one start going a mile on the grass here back in September, she is bred to be a big time turf runner. Bejarano who rode Ashely last time out moves to the O’Neill Irish invader No. 11 Jeremy’s Legacy who looks very sneaky. 6-9-11

Race 7

Speed has been the name of the game but No. 1 Call to Congrats could get the perfect setup here. No. 4 Soul Flyer looks the speed of the speed and has hit the board in all five of her starts including a win here. No. 7 Wheatfield looked good breaking her maiden here on the 6th and is a must use. 1-4-7

Race 8

THE $100K RED CARPET GOING 1-3/8 ON THE GRASS

No. 2 Three Hearts won this race last year and has a nice work here on the 15th. Chris Clement ships in No. 5 Trophee how won her only start at this distance. No. 6 Star Act just missed here at this distance one race back. 2-5-6

Race 9

No. 2 Hadfunlastnight just missed by a nostril in his last start at Santa Anita and finds a good spot for the win. No. 6 My Secret Affair gets off the grass and looks the speed of the speed. 2-6

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 3 Dyna Star is in from Del Mar for Hollendorfer who gives her a big drop in class and his buddy Baze gets the call. No. 5 Lady Harbinger is the best of the Golden Gate opposition. 3-5

Race 2

No. 1 Tropical Heat is a 9yo with plenty of run left, he was on the pace last time out and that was not where he wants to be, look for him to rate today. No. 5 Secret Serenade comes off the layoff but was in tip top form before going on the shelf and he likes this course. 1-5

Race 3

No. 4 Sunpenny gets her second try here at the Gate after shipping in from Emerald Downs, she has found a good spot. No. 6 Lindz Winz drops and gets Baze riding for Hollendorfer. 4-6

Race 4

No. 1 Giant Warrior ships in and gets the big drop in class. No. 7 Desert Moon may have found his winning level. 1-7

Race 5

No. 2 He’s a Real Keeper is 1 for 22 but ran a good race here in his first try at the Gate. No. 7 Starzilla drops and gets off the grass. No. 9 Sure Victory gets his first start off the Morey claim and he hits at .30% first off the claim. 2-7-9

Race 6

No. 9 Tangere ran super first out of the box here on Oct 30th, she has a big last work and looks ready to roll, we will single. 9

Win and place 9

Race 7

We will go top and bottom using two runners exiting the same race. No. 1 Kelly who finished 3rd in what was her first start and No. 10 Chugabug who finished second. 1-10

Race 8

No. 5 Ididn’taskforthis ran good in his first start here at the Gate. No. 6 Kid Green finished right behind him. No. 9 Matty’s Tribal drops off a good try. 1-6-9

Race 9

No. 10 Wicker Man ships in from Santa Anita and finds little to beat on the drop down to the bottom. 10
