DEL MAR

Race 1

No. 7 Roper has had his chances, ten to be exact but this will be his lowest level. We must not overlook his uncoupled stablemate first time starter No. 8 Adair who looks like a very live one with the bug boy David Lopez getting the call. 7-8

Race 2

No. 1 Alex Rossi is the speed of the speed on the rail and he has the hot combo of Bejarano riding for O’Neill. No. 4 Tulira Castle has rattled off three straight wins including one here and he gets his first start off the Bill Spawr claim. No. 6 Airfoil gets a drop in class and the stretchout. 1-4-6

Race 3

Maiden 2yo travel a mile on the grass, No. 2 Silent Movies just missed here at this mile turf distance last out but he will need to deal with other speed especially No. 4 Undeniable U who exits our HTW list. No. 6 Unapologetic is the other Un in the race and he gets a nice jockey switch. No. 8 Path of David is in from Keeneland and may like it here. No. 11 British Bulldog ran good here back in September and exits the same race as No. 4. No. 12 Archaeo will be making a late run and again we get Bejarano riding for O’Neill after it is all said and done we will opt for 4-11-12

Exacta box 4-11-12

Race 4

Wide open maiden 2yo sprint, must use No. 5 Eddie Haskell with the beaver riding Corey Nakatani. No. 7 Demonslayer off of a nice last work and No. 8 Etailer who also looks very live at first asking. 5-7-8

Race 5

THE GRADE III JIMMY DURANTE

“Good Night, Mrs. Calabash wherever you are!” Who was Mrs. Calabash, well there are several stories but the one I like is this one. Residents of Calabash, North Carolina say that she was Lucille “Lucy” Coleman. It seems back in 1940 Jimmy and his troupe were in a tiny seaside restaurant having dinner and the owner was Lucy and she had a big nose like Durante and he asked her to come over to his table, Durante looked at her and said he was going to make her famous and as he was leaving the restaurant he looked back and said those immortal words for the first time.

No. 2 Coppa extis our HTW list off a huge win first out on this course on the 1st when sent off at 8/5, she could be this good. Her stablemate No. 3 Riri has rattled off back to back wins, her last at odds on. Her other stablemate in this 4 horse uncoupled entry is No. 4 Optimism And Hope is the closer and will be flying late. No. 6 Jeremy’s Legacy won off the boat from Ireland and is wheeled back in just 7 days. No. 11 Sutton’s Smile is part of that four horse uncoupled entry for D’Amato. No. 13 Mirage gets the worst of the draw but she exits the BC Juvi turf. We will side with the quick returner. 6

Race 6

Lots of early speed in this mile dirt race and that will lead us to No. 8 Storm Comin Thru and No. 6 Roman Tizzy who exits the same race. 6-8

Race 7

THE GRADE I HOLLYWOOD DERBY

This race was big daddy when Hollywood ran but it is now just a hole in the ground sad to say. No. 5 Om has really put it together winning back to back Grade II races wire-to-wire. No. 1 Mister Brightside gets his second start in the states and he was a good second behind Om last out. Bill Mott brings in No. 8 Closing Bell with his jockey Lezcano, he is a must use. Chad Brown brings in No. 10 Money Multiplier and No. 11 March. 1-5

Race 8

THE GRADE III NATIVE DIVER

No. 3 Dortmund passed on going to Churchill Downs and stayed home for this race and Baffert said he needed an extra day. Garcia headed off to CD to ride his stablemate and Gary Stevens gets the call today on the big boy. No. 4 Iron Fist looks right there today. 3-4

Race 9

This is one tough mile turf race to end the day, if we could find a few singles we would all this race, but lets take a look at a few. Mike Smith sticks around to ride No. 6 Hunt who exits the Om race, he looks the one to beat. No. 10 Roy H gets the stretchout and could find the front end and get the jump on Hunt. No. 11 Second Summer also exits the Om race and we will use. 6-10-11

Win and place 6

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Wahine and No. 5 Seattles Best Copy could heat it up on the front end and that could get No. 2 Beautranda home from off the pace. 1-2**-5

Race 2

No. 1 Sugar Cane Royalty moves back up off a nice wire-to-wire win. No. 4 I Heart You drops off the win, not a good sign but a top trainer and jock, maybe striking while the can. 1-4

Race 3

No. 5 Last One Standing comes off a gutsy win here on the grass last out, he looks like a repeater. 5

Race 4

No. 3 Look At Me will try and sit off the hot pace and make one run. No. 6 Of Thee I Sing will also use those tactics. No. 8 Redistribute has a big last work and looks to be sitting on a big effort. 3-6-8

Race 5

The last time No. 2 Rosary Man won was when Baze rode him and he gets back on today. No. 3 Madiba exits the same race and is also the stablemate of the Rosary Man. 2-3

Race 6

THE $50K GOLDEN GATE DEBUTANTE

No. 2 My Dynamo comes in from Del Mar where she won two of three, the only loss was to the beast Songbird. 2

Race 7

No. 2 I Came to Party gets his first start off the John Martin claim and he puts the man up. Both No. 5 Prado Royale and No. 7 Midnight Rumble ship in looking for softer. 2-5-7

Race 8

No. 3 No Contingency is the speed and will try and hold off No. 6 Luckarack. 3-6

Race 9

Lots of early speed in this mile turf race so we will use No. 1 Tight Lines and No. 6 Bella Caterina, both will sit off the hot pace and pounce turning for home. 1-6
