No. 1 Bad Read Sanchez exits our HTW list as a $$$$$ play, he comes off a scary win first out when sent off as the 2/1 choice, No. 2 Wake Up Nick is the stablemate of Sanchez and he is looking for his third straight win. No. 3 Henry’s Holiday is the stablemate of both Nick and Sanchez and is part of a four horse entry sent out by trainer Doug O’Neill in this six horse field as he also sends out first-time starter No. 5 Litigation Road. The other two runners in here both have a shot, No. 4 Story to Tell who was just ¾ of a length behind Nick in the Santa Anita Juvenile and No. 6 Peradventure who won first out with ease. 1 (all)

No. 5 Triunfo drops a notch off a good third here on the 6th, No. 1 Best Ransom has been quarter horsing here and is the speed on the rail. 1-5

No. 2 Woodys Wharf got the maiden breaker in his last on the grass, he may like it here and should handle the dirt, Van Dyke gets on comebacker No. 3 Sweet Tess for trainer Carla Gaines. Hollendorfer sends out the big dropper No. 4 Fleet of Gold. 2-3-4

Since we can’t back any of the ones that have run in this 30k maiden claimer for fillies and mares we will go with two first-time starters, No. 3 Covey who has win early breeding and No. 5 Stormin Applause off a real nice last 4 furlong work. 3-5

Maiden 2yo fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs, No. 2 So You Say is a second time Baffert and the one to beat, No. 5 Sharla Rae is out of the dam Jimmy’s Gold who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters, this filly is live. No. 6 Don’t Blame Me has a very good last work and looks to be a runner. 2-5-6

Mike Smith gets on the Hollendorfer runner No. 2 Heart of Paradise who comes off a super win first out, she is working with a purpose for this, No. 4 Shh She’s Ours won for fun first out of the box here on the 4th of July. 2-4

We finish the bad day with just another bad maiden race, this one for a price tag of 20k, now how bad is the race, well No. 2 Patriotic Lion who is 0-30 looks to have a big shot, No. 5 Surfing Angel is a first-time starter who cannot be tossed out or the other first-time starter in here No. 9 Weekendwithbernie. No. 8 Astutely has some speed and has a race over the track. 2-5-8-9


Race 3

No. 2 Winningconnections is at his correct level and will be part of the trifecta, Baze gets on No. 3 Thrills and Chills and that makes him the one to beat and he exits the same race as the No. 2. 2-3

Race 4

No. 3 Nevaeh’s Promise hasn’t put in a bad effort in her last six starts getting two wins and four seconds, bet her to cash. 3

Race 5

Baze and Hollendorfer hook up with first-time starter No. 4 Kandzari and he hits at around 40% with debuting first-time maiden claimers, No. 6 Foozer drops in class, gets off the grass and gets back to a sprint. 4-6

Race 6

No. 1 My Game is in good form and is the speed on the rail, both No. 4 Soul Saver and No. 5 Land of the Free drop searching for their level. 1-4-5

Race 7

No. 4 I B Mike has been running good at this level and cold be the controlling speed, No. 7 Valentino Bill will be making a late run. 4-7

Race 8

No. 2 Territorial was eliminated at the start in his first start, with a good break he will be dangerous today, after him anyone can win. 2
