Race 1

$30K maiden 2-year-olds go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 8 Hot Pursuit can only move forward off his third-place finish here in his debut race and we like jockey Ricardo Gonzalez riding today. No. 10 Handr’sdream looks live first out for trainer Jeff Bonde. 8-10

Race 2

$6,250 claimers go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Rineshaft drops a notch in this his second start at the meet. No. 4 Santana looks well spotted off the win last out at Golden Gate. 5**-4

Race 3

$30K maiden 2-year-olds go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Presto Bench will improve second out and his second start at the meet. No. 5 Chief Jackson drops in class and makes his first start as a gelding. No. 8 Freerunning is the one to beat off his nose loss last out when traveling a flat mile. 8*-4-5

Race 4

$8K starter allowance runners go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Awhitesportscoat is a win machine and won his last start here at this level going six furlongs. No. 6 Rickey B owns dangerous early speed and looks the main danger. 5-6

Race 5

Maiden 2-year-old fillies go 5 1/2 furlongs. Jockey Flavien Prat and trainer Simon Callaghan hook up with first-time starter No. 1 Donna Bella off a real nice work pattern. No. 2 Empire House is the one to beat off his close second at Del Mar and she had a big last work for this. 2**-1

Race 6

$8K claimers go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Tribal Storm is in from Golden Gate and drops for the win with jockey Tiago Pereira riding. We will take our shot and single in the picks. 4***

Race 7

3-year-old $50 claimers go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Howbeit won in his only start here at Los Alamitos TB. No. 6 No Longer Silent likes to win races and has been meeting tougher at Golden Gate and his last work signals that he is on go. No. 7 Alcools was last seen running in a Grade 3 at Santa Anita. 6-7-4

Race 8

California-bred $20K optional claimers go six furlongs. No. 3 Fratelli just won here in a $50K starter race at this distance and will be very tough to beat. No. 6 Johnny Podres will be coming late for a piece. 3***-6

Race 9

$20K maiden fillies and mares travel a flat mile. No. 4 Little Miss Belle was second here on Dec. 5 and now stretches out. No. 7 Anatolia will be playing catch me if you can on the stretch out. 7-4
