Saber Los Alamitos TB analysis for Saturday

Race 1 

$6,250 fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Charlotte Louise fits here off her races at Golden Gate. No. 6 Norma’s Love drops in class looking for the win and looks the one to beat. No. 10 Pasito drops into a wake-up spot. 6-5-10 

Race 2 

$20K maiden fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Little Miss Belle drops in this her second start and the blinkers go on. No. 4 Vangogo drops back to a much better spot and gets off the grass. No. 9 Fierce Kitty had a real nice last work for this. No. 10 Siena Silk has been meeting much better on the grass and finds a group she can beat if she can handle this course. 10/ 2-4-9 

Race 3 

$16K fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Saving Sophie is in top form and gets her first start off the Doug O’Neill claim. We like her a lot in this race and will single in the picks. 1*** 

Race 4 

California bred 2-year-old maidens go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Standing O is a first-time starter for trainer Phil D’Amato and we like the bug girl Jessica Pyfer riding. No. 10 Theluteismine comes off a good try going five furlongs on the grass at Del Mar and is the one to beat. 10**-3 

Race 5 

The $300K Grade 1 Starlet at 1 1/16 miles for 2-year-old fillies. No. 3 Princess Noor was last seen running in the Grade 1 BC Juvenile fillies. She has been working lights out and the blinkers come off. Jockey Flavien Prat gets the ride on the undefeated No. 4 Astute for trainer Richard Mandella. No. 5 Varda was a good second behind Princess Noor in the Grade 1 Chandelier. 3-4-5 

Race 6 

Maiden 2-year-old fillies go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 7 Freedom Flyer gets off the grass and will be very tough to catch today. No. 9 Absolute Anna is stabled here and owns a solid work pattern for her debut. 7***-9 

Race 7 

California-bred 20K optional claimers go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Mon Camo has been meeting open company runners and gets his second start off the Jonathan Wong claim. No. 4 Flicflac looks spotted for action with the bug boy Santos Rivera in the irons. No. 6 Sound Judgement comes in from Golden Gate in top form and we like jockey Tiago Pereira riding. No. 10 Psycho Dar will be gunning from his outside post looking to go wire to wire. 1-4-6-10 

Race 8 

$40K optional claimers travel a flat mile. No. 1 Cajun Treasure is in top form with jockey Umberto Rispoli riding. No. 2 Our Silver Oak has hit the board in all three of his races here. No. 5 Margot’s Boy gets some major class relief and the bug boy Alexis Centeno in the irons. 1-2-5 

Race 9 

California-bred $50K maiden 2-year-olds go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 6 Shimmer Me Timbers looks the one to beat off those back-to-back good efforts at Del Mar. No. 7 Father O’Flaherty drops from straight maiden races and makes his first start as a gelding. No. 8 Stalking Shadow exits the same last race as Father O’Flaherty. No. 10 Ben’s a Goalie has been working like a runner for his debut race. 6**-7-8-10
