Los Alamitos Thoroughbred

Race 1

No. 1 San Giorgio broke his maiden here back in July, he is spotted for action but draws the bad rail in this 5-1/2 furlong sprint. No. 2 Verynsky is in good form, he won for $16k at Del Mar and was a close 3rd last out there. 1-2

Race 2

Jockey Abel Cedillo gets on first-time starter No. 1 Ragtime Blues for Bob Baffert in this mile maiden race for 2yo. This colt cost $500k and we look for jockey Cedillo to give it his all for this barn. Baffert also sends out No. 3 Bronn with the bug boy J.C. Diaz Jr. up, he is the speed. No. 6 Special Day stretches out for Jerry Hollendorfer in this his second start, he has a good last work and gets Geovanni Franco up. 1-3-6

No. 1 Burn Me Twice ran a good second the last time he ran here, he drops into an action spot, after him anyone can win. 1**

Race 4

$20k maiden fillies and mares go five furlongs. No. 1 Colonel Power drops from straight maiden races off the layoff for John Sadler and looks the lone speed. No. 6 Appolina drops a notch for Baffert after finishing second in five straight races. 1-6

Race 5

No. 1 Frankie Machine drops and gets back to a sprint, he just missed by a half a length here back in July, we like Martin Pedroza up today, he will sit back off a hot pace and make one run down the lane and nail them on the line. 1***

Race 6

Calif bred 2yo maiden fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs, trainer Philip D’Amato doesn’t send many out at this meet but when he does they are live, he sends out first-time starter No. 8 Jodie Faster with Franco up and a real good post, after her we will toss in No. 2 Dorita’s Wild Cat with Martin Garcia up and No. 4 Nikkileaks with Cedillo up for Mark Glatt. 8*-2-4
