Saber’s Santa Anita analysis for Friday

Race 1 

California-bred maiden 3-year-olds travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 2 Blue Star just missed here at this level and distance back in September and now gets jockey Joel Rosario up. No. 3 Big Flint missed by a half-length first out at Del Mar at this level and distance. No. 4 Big Talker exits a key race. No. 7 Discretionary Day and No. 8 Circleofchampions will be on the early pace. We will look for the best price in this wide-open race. 2-3-4-7-8 

Race 2 

$16K fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 5 Vangogo is perfectly spotted of her big maiden win. No. 7 Enriched by Deb is in top form and broke her maiden here at Santa Anita. 5-7 

Race 3 

California-bred maiden 3-year-olds travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 5 J C Express has the experience of going a mile on the grass and looks the one to beat. No. 10 That Corey has been sprinting good on the grass and looks ready for the stretch out. 5-10 

Race 4 

Maiden 3-year-old fillies travel a flat mile. No. 1 Sweetest Angel has been routing on the grass and now the blinkers go on as they move to the dirt. No. 8 Peachtree Road was well-bet in her last race and looks ready to roll. No. 3 Moraz owns a big last work for this race. 8**-1-3 

Race 5 

$100K optional 3-year-olds go six furlongs on the grass. No. 3 Windy City Red was last seen running in a Grade 2 grass sprint at Keeneland and one race before that he just missed in the $100K Speakeasy here going 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 6 Gator Shining will find and fast early pace to make his late run. 3**-6* 

Race 6 

$10K fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 8 Sybil’s Kitty and No. 2 Untouched Elegance look the controlling speed in a race that has little zip up front.  No. 9 Wandering Patrol takes a big drop in class. 8-2-9 

Race 7 

$62,500 optional claimers travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 Frontier Market has been over his head of late and now gets some class relief and fits here. No. 2 Murad Khan looks very tough in this spot. No. 3 Salvator Mundi exits the same last race as Murad Khan when just missing by a neck. No. 10 Fivestar Lynch looks the controlling speed. 3-2-1-10 

Race 8 

$40K optional claimers travel a flat mile. No. 1 Zestful will be out winging it on the front end and will be tough to catch down the lane. No. 2 Two Thirty Five will fall into a good stalking position right behind Zestful and look to get first jump. No. 5 Unbroken Star exits the same last race as Zestful and now gets jockey Joel Rosario riding. No. 8 Pubilius Syrus is in top form on the move up in class. 1-2-5-8 

Race 9 

$25K claimers travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 4 Sly won here at Santa Anita one race back going a mile on the grass. No. 6 Worthy Turk just missed here one race back at this level and distance and now gets jockey Joel Rosario riding for Peter Miller. No. 7 Fly to Mars is the stablemate of Worthy Turk and gets jockey Flavien Prat back in the saddle. 6-7-4
