Saber’s Santa Anita analysis for Friday

Race 1

$40K claimers go six furlongs on the grass. No. 4 Via Egnatia just may like moving to this sprint on the grass and we think the price will be right. No. 6 Itsthattime gets his first try on the grass and owns good early speed. No. 7 Mystery Messenger looks the one to beat as he will love sprinting on the grass. 7-4-6

Race 2

$30K maiden 3-year-olds go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Cashlings was a solid second here first out back on December 27th for a $40K price tag and looks tough to beat here albeit at a short price. No. 3 Bolu exits the same last race as Cashlings and finished third. 1-3

Race 3

$12,500 claimers go seven furlongs. There is not a lot of early zip in this race with the exception of No. 2 Minoso. No. 3 Tobacco Road takes a huge drop in class. No. 9 Awhitesportscoat has been a very consistent runner at and around this level and is a must use. No. 11 Colosi looks the other speed. 2-3-9-11

Race 4

California-bred maiden 3-year-olds go six furlongs on the grass. No. 9 Bob Daniels gets his second start off an even try first out at Los Alamitos TB when going 5 1/2 furlongs. He puts the blinkers on and worked a bullet here on the 15th. After him this race is very much up for grabs. 9 (all).

Race 5

$40K maiden 3-year-old fillies travel a flat mile. No. 5 Made in Karoo takes her first try with maiden claimers and could make a run. No. 8 I’m All the Jedi drops back to the level of her close second. 5-8

Race 6

$50K starter allowance fillies and mares go 6 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 2 Magical Gray had a nice win here one race back on the 5 1/2-furlong grass course. No. 5 Constantia won on this 6 1/2 grass course on the 3rd. No. 7 Lavender has run good at a mile on the grass and just may like this distance today. 5-2-7

Race 7

California-bred maiden 3-year-olds go six furlongs. No. 4 By Moonlight was claimed for $80K last out by a trainer who does well with his runners first off the claim. No. 5 Va Va Vegas ran second last out when sent off at 80 cents on the dollar. No. 8 Found My Ball ran 3rd first out when sent off as the chalk. 5**-4-8
