$40K optional claimers go 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 6 Passionate Reward is in from Golden Gate for a sharp outfit and gets the hot riding Juan Hernandez. He will sit off a hot pace and blast home late. No. 3 Thanks Mr. Edison likes this course. 6-3

Race 2

California-bred maidens go six furlongs. No. 5 Secret Club will only need to move forward off his debut race to notch the maiden breaker today. No. 6 Chipper will go better today getting off the grass and back to a sprint. 5**-6

Race 3

$50K maidens go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 6 Holden the Lute drops from straight maiden races as does No. 5 Defense Wins. No. 1 Pelican Way is a live first-time starter with Mike Smith up. 6-5-1

Race 4

Maiden fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Fierce for Sul just missed last out at Del Mar going five furlongs on the grass and has worked great since. No. 6 Superstition looks ready for her best, in this her second start off the layoff. 1**-6

Race 5

$62,500 optional claimers go 1 1/16 miles. No. 5 Order and Law is the speed with jockey Juan Hernandez riding. No. 2 Potantico is back where he belongs after trying Grade 3 runners last out. He is the stablemate of Order and Law and gets the good bug boy Alexis Centeno in the irons. 5-2

Race 6

$40K optional claimers go 1 1/8 miles on the grass. No. 4 Tripoli is in top form and a perfect fit in here. We like jockey Drayden Van Dyke riding for trainer John Sadler. No. 7 Three Ay Em will be making a late run. 4**-7

Race 7

$25K fillies and mares go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Happy Trails will look to be motoring late with the bug girl Jessica Pyfer riding. No. 4 Blazing Charm will also look to sit and pounce down the lane. 2-4

Race 8

The $100K Grade 3 Senator Ken Maddy at 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. Trainer Wesley Ward brings No. 1 Jo Jo Air back West. The last time she was here she won the Daisycutter on the five furlong grass course at Del Mar. No. 6 Aquasea Form Shame looks dangerous with jockey Umberto Rispoli riding for trainer Richard Baltas.1-6

Race 9

Maiden 2-year-olds go 6 1/2 furlongs. Trainer Bob Baffert sends out first-time starter No. 1 Classier who cost $775K. No. 6 North Pole comes off a solid second first out when well bet.1-6

Race 10

$25K claimers travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 5 Worthy Turk just beat $32K claimers last out. No. 7 Acker exits the same race as Worthy Turk. No. 8 Shadow Sphinx also beat $32K runners last out and has won 3 of 6 on this turf course. No. 12 Grand Master is in from back East and is the stablemate of Worthy Turk and gets jockey Umberto Rispoli riding for trainer Peter Miller. 5-7-8-12
