Race 1 

California-bred $20K optional claimers go six furlongs. No. 2 Jetovator comes off big win against allowance runners last out when going six furlongs on the grass. No. 5 Shady Empire is a perfect 2-for-2 sprinting here at Santa Anita and he could be the speed. No. 6 El Diablo Rojo was a good second last out against $50K optional open company here on the 1st. 6-2-5 

Race 2 

California-bred maidens travel a flat mile on the grass. Trainer Shelbe Ruis has sent out four runners at this meet winning with three and the other finished third. She sends out No. 3 Cool Your Jets. No. 4 Burnin Turf has run third in both of his races. He now gets jockey Flavien Prat and the blinkers come off. 3-4 

Race 3 

California-bred $50K optional 3-year-olds go six furlongs. There will be a ding-dong battle up front and that leads us to No. 3 Mister Bold on the turn back from a mile and No. 4 Swift as I Am who can sit and get first jump. 3**-4* 

Race 4 

The $150K Sunshine Millions filly and mares turf sprint at six furlongs. No. 5 Warren’s Showtime comes off a big try last out in the Lady Shamrock against open company when going a mile on the grass. No. 7 Mo See Cal is wheeled back in six days. 5***-7 

Race 5 

$50K California-bred maiden 3-year-old fillies go six furlongs. No. 5 Complete Control drops back to the level of her two good seconds. No. 6 Winter Star ran a big second here on Dec. 31st when missing by a dwindling head. 5-6 

Race 6 

The $200K Cal Cup Oaks as 3-year-old fillies travel a flat mile on the grass. Jockey Mike Smith gets back on No. 7 Sensible Cat. The one time he rode her resulted in a win at Del Mar at this mile grass distance. No. 9 Governor Goteven will be there if able to handle the grass. No. 5 I’m So Anna won her only turf start. 7*-9-5 

Race 7 

The $200K Cal Cup Derby for 3-year-olds traveling 1 1/16 miles. No. 7 Positivity just hated Los Alamitos last out and we look for better. No. 3 Big Fish has been meeting much stronger. 7-3 

Race 8 

$200K Cal Cup Unusual Heat Turf Classic at 1 1/8 miles on the grass. No. 2 Ward’n Jerry has been meeting much stronger and finished second in this race last year. No. 4 Indian Peak won the 1 1/8-mile Snow Chief here back on June 20th. No. 8 Acclimate will be trying to take them wire to wire. 4-8-2 

Race 9 

$150K Cal Cup sprint at six furlongs.  No. 3 Fashionable Fast ran big here one race back in the seven-furlong Grade 2 Triple Bend. No. 6 Loud Mouth comes off a nice win last out in the sevseven-furlongry Grant at Del Mar. 3-6 

Race 10 

California-bred maiden 3-year-old fillies go six furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Squared Shady will look to take these fillies wire to wire. No. 5 Miss Baylee comes off the layoff and was well bet here back in June. No. 7 Omg It’s Jessica ran good here first out. 5-1-7
