Maidens travel a flat mile. No. 3 Mastering owns a big last work for this race and gets jockey John Velasquez in the irons for trainer Bob Baffert. No. 4 Exaulted exits the same last race as Mastering and he gets jockey Joel Rosario riding. 3-4

Race 3

The $75K Eddie Logan for 2-year-olds traveling a flat mile on the grass. Most of these runners are coming out of the Cecil B. De Mille mile turf race at Del Mar. The two runners out of that race that we like are No. 7 Ebeko who just did miss and now gets jockey Joel Rosario riding. No. 1 Big Fish was closing fast and was right on the line with Ebeko. 7**-1

$40K maiden 2-year-olds go six furlongs. No. 4 Alexander’s Dream had a tough trip in his last start at Del Mar and now drops a notch. Trainer Peter Miller sends out the uncoupled entry of No. 1 Cashlings and No. 2 Love My Jimmy first off the claim. 4**-1-2

Race 5

$25K claimer travel 1 1/8 miles on the grass. No. 2 Honos Man just missed last out at Del Mar at this exact distance on the grass for a $32K price tag. No. 4 Armour Plate drops in class and is the stablemate of Honos Man. No. 5 Turn the Switch exits the same last race as Armour Plate. 1-4-5

Race 6

$25K 3-year-olds go six furlongs. No. 2 Octopus gets the class drop and jockey Joel Rosario riding for trainer Andrew Lerner as the barn goes all out for the win. No. 5 Natural History looks the main danger. 2-5

Race 7

California-bred allowance runners go six furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Brix has been running in 5- and 5 1/2-furlong grass sprints and will love this six-furlong distance today. No. 4 Caerulean has hit the board in all four of his grass sprints and had a big last work for this race. No. 8 Jetovator will be making a big late run. 1-4-8

Race 8

California-bred maiden 2-year-olds go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Warrens Candy Man has been close routing on the grass and now moves to this dirt sprint. No. 5 The Chosen Vron had a big last work for this his debut race. No. 10 Big Story exits the same last race as Warrens Candy. 4-5-10
