Race 3

Cal bred optional $20k fillies and mare go 5 ½ furlongs on the grass. No. 2 Square Peggy went wire to wire the last time she ran on this course, Edwin A. Maldonado will be gunning from the get go. No. 3 Smiling Annie will sit right off the hot pace and look to nail them on the line. No. 4 Violette Szabo will be the one to fear late with Flavien Prat up today for Paul D’Amato. No. 8 Grinningeartoear is a lightly raced 4yo filly who ran on this course one time and got the win. 2-3-4-8

Race 4

We get a field of five $16k claimers going a mile on the main. No. 2 Big Barrel always gives his best at this level. No. 3 Imagineiamfastest will pop the gate on the stretchout and look to take these wire-to-wire. 3**-2

Race 5 

$32k claimers go 5 ½ furlongs on the grass. No. 4 Erotic drops into a wakeup spot. No. 6 BLACKOUT is the one to beat, he is in good form and the drop to this level should get him home on top. No. 8 Via Egnatia gets back on the grass and the new jockey Umberto Rispoli gets the ride. 6***-8-4

Race 7

$75k maiden 3yo fillies travel a mile on the grass. No. 5 Going to Vegas ran big in her one start going long on the grass at Del Mar. She gets back on the grass and Prat is up today for Peter Miller. No. 7 Go Big Blue Nation drops out of straight maiden races, she will be flying with a late run. 7**-5

Race 8

THE $75K KALOOKAN QUEEN AT 6 ½ FURLONGS FOR FILLIES AND MARES

No. 2 Flor de La Mar gets back to a sprint and has the hot trainer jockey hookup of Bob Baffert/Drayden Van Dyke. No. 4 Mother Mother is the stablemate of Flor de La Mar and comes off a 3rd in the grade 1 La Brea last out. No. 5 Lady Ninja is a six time winner on this course and was last seen in the BC Filly and Mare sprint. Prat will ride today and the last four times he rode this mare she won. 5-1-4

Race 9

Cal bred maiden 3yo travel a mile on the grass. No. 3 Rocks and Salt looks on the uptick in this his 3rd start. He ran big last out going a mile on the grass despite trouble. No. 4 Margot’s Boy finished right behind Rocks and Salt and also had trouble. No. 10 Canyon Crest also exits the race and gets Joel Rosario up today. 3-4-10
