Calif. bred $20k optional runners go 5-1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Summer Fire has been facing better and now gets Joel Rosario up for Robert Hess. No. 3 Rookie Mistake ran ok at this turf distance last out vs. $75k company. It took No. 8 Jetovator ten tries to break his maiden but he did it last out when Flavian Prat got on him and it was on this course. 1-3-8
Race 2
$20k maidens go six furlongs. No. 5 Lil Sydney gets off the grass and makes his first start as a gelding and drops to a level where his speed will play well. No. 2 Alibi for Mischief drops and will show all of his early speed at this level. 5-2
Race 3
$12,500 claimers go six furlongs. No. 1 Norski ran a good second at this level last out going a mile. He had his claim voided but comes back at the same level and gets Abel Cedillo up today. No. 3 Lucky Romano drops and gets off the grass and gets Prat up. 1-3
Race 4
Calif. bred $20k optional fillies and mares travel a flat mile on the dirt. There is a ton of early speed in this mile race and that will set things up for No. 2 SMILING SHIRLEE who gets off the grass and will sit off the hot pace and run them all down in the lane. She also gets some serious class relief and Joel Rosario riding for Jeff Bonde, all systems look like a go and a solid single in the picks. 2****

WIN AND PLAEC 4 AND THE EXACTA BOX 4-2
Race 6
$25k claimers travel a flat mile. No. 7 Cabin John finds a nice spot and we like Rafael Bejarano up today. This gelding had a ton of trouble last out and still only lost by two lengths at this distance and level, we think the price will be right and he will be our play. 7**
Race 7
$32k fillies and mares travel 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 3 Tig Tog comes off a huge win last out at this turf distance for the hot trainer John Sadler, we like the move up. No. 8 Wind Tartare exits the same last race anf follows Tig Tog up the ladder. No. 9 Sugary has won three off her last four starts with a second in between. 3-8-9
Race 8
$40k optional claimers travel 1-1/16 on the dirt. Speed, speed and more speed in this race and that will lead us to No. 1 Tartini who will get the perfect setup. He will sit off the hot pace and will be flying late, he just needs to stay clear of trouble. 1***-
