SANTA ANITA

Race 1

We start this eight race card with 3yo maidens going 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 3 Pure Carmine ran like he wanted longer in his first race which was a mile on the grass, he also had some big trouble. No. 5 Goalie looks to be sitting on the maiden win and Flavien Prat gets back on today, he is the one to beat. No. 8 I’m Leaving You ran a much better than looked 5th in his one start at Del Mar, he will be much faster as a 3yo. 5**-8-3

Race 2

$50k starter allowance runners go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Afternoon Heat will find the fast early pace perfect for him, his last work was a pip and we will single in the picks. 4***

Richard Baltas gets him back on the grass, we love Joel Rosario up today. No. 3 Bodhicitta is the stablemate of the Colonial and looks to win back-to-back races. No. 4 Dogtag was running versus much better last year, he may like it here. 2-3-4

Maiden 3yo travel 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 1 Ekklesia just missed last out going this distance on the grass back in January. He has come back to work strong and Able Cedillo gets on today. No. 7 MEDIA BLITZ is the one to beat, he exits the same race as Ekklesia and was a head in front of him that say. He gets a huge rider upgrade today with Umberto Respoli getting on for Simon Callaghan, bet him to cash. The price play may come from No. 8 Cosmo who also exits the race on back, he gets blinkers on today and a new jock.
