We start this day of grass racing, barring rain, with $50k maiden fillies and mares going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Down Home is a first time starter who showed some good early speed versus straight maidens last September. She drops in with maiden claimers and was well bet first out, we look for better today. No. 5 Trouville ran 3rd vs. winners last out, she is back with maiden claimers and is the filly to beat. 5**-3

Race 2

$25k fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 2 Tick Tock has been off for eight months, she gets Umberto Rispoli up today for Andrew Lerner, she is very live. No. 3 Miss Lady Ann has run here four times and has hit the board in all four of her starts sprinting on the dirt. 2-3

Race 3

Maidens go 5-1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 3 J Z My Man will be our key runner in here, he is a first time starter for Bob Baffert who is not known for sending first time starters on the grass. He cost $410k and gets Baffert’s go to rider up in Drayden Van Dyke off a huge last work. No. 4 Champers has been running a mile on the grass, look for him to show up late. No. 6 Sly also has been going a  mile on the grass, he makes his first start as a gelding and Mike Smith sticks. No.  7 Whirl Candy gets blinkers on for this his second start and first on the grass, Rispoli rides for Richard Baltas. 3***-4-6-7

Calif. bred maiden fillies and mares go 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 6 Warren’s Empress looks the speed in the paceless race. No. 7 Y Not Sizzle just missed by a nostril last out, this will be her 12th start but she looks right there. 7**-6

Race 6

We only get five fillies and mares in this $10k claimer going six furlongs. No. 1 No Wine Untasted drops looking to get back in form. No. 3 Todos Santos gets back to the level of his last win. 1-3

Race 7

$80k optional 3yo travel a mile on the grass. No. 1 Jurgen just broke his maiden in what was a great effort after a very bad trip.  No. 6 Last Opportunity exits the $100k Pasadena and gets Flavien Prat up today. No. 9 K P All Systems Go also comes off a huge maiden win and is a must use. Our key runner in here will be No. 8 Liar Liar who also exits the $100k Pasadena and gets a big jockey upgrade off a big last work. 8**-1-6-9
