2yo maidens go five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Chasin Munny comes off a big try at this five furlong turf distance in his one start at Del Mar. No. 3 K P Indy gets back to a sprint on the grass. No. 12 Rip City may have found a wake up spot. 1-3-12

Race 3

$32k 3yo fillies go six furlongs. Jockey E. Jaramillo is in town and will ride No. 2 Portal Creek for John Sadler we take notice. No. 6 Nomizar was over her head last out, this is a much better spot. No. 7 Shes All Woman likes this track and gets her first start off the Hess claim. The hot riding Abel Cedillo gets back on her. 2-6-7

Race 4 

$40k optional runners going 5 ½ furlongs on the grass. 

No. 9 MOUNTAIN SPIRIT has run three good races in his three race career. Two going long and his last was a win going five furlongs on the Del Mar grass when closing like a freight train to win going away. He will love this distance and we will be singling in the picks. 9***

THE $100K GRADE 3 L.A. WOMAN AT 6 ½ FURLONGS FOR FILLIES AND MARES

No. 6 Selcourt is the speed and exits a good try in the Grade 1 Beholder. A race in which Paradise Woods came out of and won next out. No. 1 Flor de La Mar comes off a nice comeback win last out. 6-1

$62,500 optional runners go 1 1/8 on the grass. No. 1 Acker loves this course with 4 wins from 9 starts. No. 3 The Hunted gets Drayden Van Dyke up today for Richard Baltas and is the key runner. No. 6 Overdue beds down in the red hot Paul D’Amato barn. 3**-1-6

Race 7

Cal bred maiden 2yo go 6 ½ furlongs. No. 4 Wilder Than Most showed good early speed in his one start and can only move forward. No. 5 If Id Told You exits the same race and it was his first start, look for better. No. 7 Summer Fire also exits the race, he was sent off as the 9/5 chalk. No. 10 Lightning Fast also exits the race and was a closing 3rd, he will like the longer trip. 4-5-7-10

THE $200K GRADE 2 CITY OF HOPE AT A MILE ON THE GRASS

No. 2 Synchrony is back from Woodbine, he is one very consistent 6yo. No. 3 True Valour was last seen here winning the Thunder Road back in February, he is live. No. 7 River Boyne has won 6 of his 9 starts here, a must use. No. 9 Prince Earl comes off a win in the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile. 2-3-7-9

THE $300K GRADE 1 SANTA ANITA SPRINT AT SIX FURLONGS

Emisael Jaramillo is in town for Jorge Navarro and is on the very fast No. 3 Shancelot. No. 2 Omaha Beach makes his first start off his injury. 3-2

THE $70K SWINGTIME AT A MILE ON THE GRASS

No. 4 Toinette is in tip top form and the one to beat. No. 8 Super Patriot exits our HTW list, she is the price play. No. 3 Tooreen Dancer comes off the layoff for D’Amato. 4-8-3
