Saber’s Santa Anita analysis for Friday

Race 1 

Maiden 2-year-old fillies go 4 1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Stars of Bluegrass is live with Dryden VanDyke riding for trainer Andrew Lerner. Trainer Luis Mendez sends out No. 4 Smoothlikebuttah who is just another live first time starter he sends out. No. 7 Miss Glorious has the biig advantage of having a race here on May 17 when well bet. 7**-4-3 

Race 2 

$25K fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Busy Paynter drops in class and gets the hot riding Flavien Prat. No. 4 Sheza Factor owns a good work pattern for her return to the races. 1-4 

Race 3 

California bred maiden fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Lets Get Wild has finished second in her last two races on this turf course. No. 7 Bella Chica bobbled at the start in her last race but still made a real nice late run. No. 8 Fireproof is a good-looking first-time starter. 7-1-8 

Race 4 

$12,500 fillies and mares travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 K P Whirlwind drops into a very live spot off the layoff. No. 6 Boonesboro Beauty just did miss last out at this level and distance. 1-6 

Race 5 

$62,500 maidens travel a flat mile on the grass.  No. 4 Railsplitter is the speed. No. 6 Fengari was a better-than-looked 4th last out. 6-4 

Race 6 

$25K maiden fillies and mares go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Curvaceous looks the speed on the drop to this level. 2**

Race 7 

$80K optional 3-year-old fillies go 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass. No. 3 Lighthouse just missed last out in the Grade 3 Sweet life at this 5 1/2 furlong turf distance. 3***

Race 8 

$40K optional claimers travel a flat mile. No. 1 Itsthattime gets jockey Mike Smith riding for trainer Jeff Bonde. No. 3 Big Hoof Dynamite makes his first start as a gelding. No. 8 Mongolian Hero gets his first start off the John Sadler claim. 1-3-8
