We start off the day with a five horse $50k maiden race. No. 3 Takeo gets his second try at this level and the bug boy J.C. Diaz gets the leg up. No. 4 Mutineer drops back to his $50k claimed price for Doug F. O’Neill.

Race 2

Maiden 2yo fillies travel five furlongs on the grass. No. 3 Orquidias Biz gets Drayden Van Dyke up for her first try on the grass, she is live. No. 10 Beautiful Thunder showed good early speed sprinting on the Del Mar five furlong grass course in her one and only, look for better. 3-10

Race 3

Optional $40k fillies and mares travel a mile on the main. No. 1 Scarlet just missed at this level and distance in her last start at Del Mar. No. 4 Mongolian Empire gets back on her best surface and distance. No. 5 Der Lu gets off the grass and owns a big bullet last work. 4-5-1

Race 4 

THE $100K SUMA BEACH AT A MILE ON THE GRASS FOR 2YO

No. 4 BILLY BATTS comes off a head loss in the Del Mar Juvenile Turf, he owns a pace advantage in here. No. 2 Encoder is the one who nailed Billy on the money in the Del Mar Juvenile. No. 1 Hariboux is the unknown runner in from over the pond for Jeff Mullins with Van Dyke riding. We will key Billy Batts first and second with the other two runners. 

KEY PLAY 

No. 4 WIN AND PLACE AND THE EXACTA BOX 4 WITH 1-2

Race 5

$20k maiden fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 2 Lily Con drops in from $50k maiden races. she will try and take them wire-to-wire. No. 6 Darpa just missed at this level last out, she will be stalking the pace looking to run Lily down in the lane. 2-6

Race 6

THE $100K SPEAKEASY FOR 2YO AT FIVE FURLONGS ON THE GRASS

Lots of early speed lined up for this event and that leads us to some runners coming off the pace. No. 3 Commander was last seen running in the juvenile turf at Del Mar vs Billy Batts and Decoder going a mile. He will love this shorter trip. No. 8 Square Deal will be hard to beat if he takes to the grass. 8**-3

Race 7

$40k optional fillies and mares go 6 ½ furlongs. No. 3 Anuket lost her rider when sent off at .50 cents on the dollar last out. Van Dyke who was on her opts for No. 2 Stirred. No. 6 Rather Nosy loves this track and is in top form. 6*-3-2

Race 8

THE $100K SUFER GIRL AT A MILE ON THE GRASS FOR 2YO FILLIES

No. 4 Yesterdayoncemore comes off a big win in her first start in the states when winning the filly juvenile turf at Del Mar. No. 5 Mind Out looked good winning at first asking going five furlongs on the Del Mar grass. She exits our HTW list off that win. No. 6 Applecross also exits our HTW list off a troubled trip in the filly juvenile turf at Del Mar. No. 7 Croughavouke also exits the race, she was second behind Yesterday. 4-5-6-7
