HOLLYWOOD PARK

Race 1

No. 1 Holloween Candy has big early speed but has failed as the chalk in three straight and two of those jockey Bejarano rode; he stays and now trainer Jerry Hollendorfer drops this 3yo daughter of Candy Ride into a 40k maiden claimer. She will be a very short price once again. No. 6 Chobe Chika has some good early lick herself and if she can press Holloween Candy out of the box it could set things up for No. 5 Miss Picaboo who exits our HTW list and gets a confident boost in class first off the Mike Mitchell claim. 1-5

Race 2

In this short five horse field we will use two in the early pick four, No. 1 Lions Story who just did get nostrilized last time out going this 1 1/16 distance. She has been the beaten favorite in her last three starts just like her stablemate Holloween Candy in the first race. Trainer Hollendorfer and jockey Bejarano try to take down a very short price double. No. 4 Just Magic may be able to go this distance and could be a good price. 1-4

Race 3

We will go three deep in here using No. 1 Rule The Storm who is out of the ultra hot William E. Morey barn. This 5yo Mare just won on this course with Martin Garcia in the irons. No. 2 Talktoomuch has won two of three on this turf course including one at this 1 1/16 distance, she will sit and try and run them down late. No. 7 Girl Of Pangaea is undefeated on this course at this distance the only two win of her career, she is a must use. 1-2-7

Race 4

We will need to go three deep once again using No. 2 Body Builder who had his prep and is now ready to stretch back out and the drop in class can only help his chances; he has a top jock/trainer combo. No. 4 Spinco Bob gets a major rider upgrade and could surprise, No. 9 Zilarator will be part of the early pace as Baffert and Garcia look to strike again.

No. 6 Contessa’s Image gets a turn back in distance and goes from the turf to the main for trainer Morey, beware. No. 12 Ebo’s Love is in from the Gate for she has done nothing wrong in her four races with two wins and two seconds she will be right there. 3-6-12

Race 8

You really need to hit the all button in the last leg of the pick four but we will take a shot and play two late pick fours, in our first one we will single No. 4 Georgie’s Sweetie who was well bet in her debut and the extra half furlong will be right up her alley. In our second pick four we will hit the all button.

No. 4 Gold Star looks very live off the layoff; he has been bedded down here at Pleasanton and has been working with a purpose, and his trainer Jeff Bonde can strike with a layoff horse. We will key on him with No. 1 Golden Gaylord and hope there is a lot of gold in this race, Golden Gaylord showed a new style last time out and the extra half furlong this time may help his chances. We will also use No. 6 Love Occidental who has speed and gets his second start off the long layoff and No. 9 Zandeca who was bet like a good thing in his first start at the Gate on June 4. 4 with 1-6-9

No. 3 Hannah’s Moment has big early speed and jockey Hernandez gets back in the irons; he just missed with this 6yo Mare one race back; No. 5 Maggie’s Patches broke her maiden at this 5 furlong distance and now Russell Baze says he will ride. 3-5

Race 6

No. 7 Mo Slow Mo won at first asking back in May at 7/2, he took some time off but now comes back in this claim proof starter allowance race and that is a good move by trainer Steve Sherman. No. 8 Stonewall Riot also won at first asking and that was a productive race and he comes back in this claim proof starter allowance race. 7-8

Race 7

In this 8k maiden claimer the ones that have run just don’t jump off the form so we will take our shot and key on No. 7 No Going Back who has been working up a storm for trainer Dean Pederson. If he can transfer those works to the track today he could pop right out of the box. We will key on him and use No. 4 Thrice The Vice a big dropper shipper from Hollywood Park who looks to have found a very soft crew. No. 5 Kalihi Express is a big dropper from the gate that gets blinkers on for this his second lifetime start and we will use No. 9 Pimiento Negro who just did get beat a nose when dropped to this level last time out. 4-5-7**-9
