We just completed Week 3 of the NFL season and I’m writing about another great spot for watching the games and enjoying good food and cold drinks.
This week’s destination is Sagos Tavern, located at 4790 S. Fort Apache Road. There are TV’s located throughout the bar area so if you want to sit and play some video poker you won’t miss any of the action.

When I visit Sagos, which I do a lot, I sit in the dinning room section where they have a giant video wall for the games. There is one giant size TV in the middle with 3 additional TV’s running up each side of the big screen. That puts seven games right in front of me.
Watching seven games at a time is perfect for Saturday and Sunday action. If you are a Chicago Bears fan, Sagos is a Bears bar and if they are playing on a Thursday or Monday night getting a seat can be tough.
I really like going to Sagos for weekday football games because the games start right in the middle of Happy Hour and Sagos has one of the best in Las Vegas. They have some great food specials.
My favorite and go-to order is the Wings & Fries for $5. You get 8 wings and fries for just $5. The wings are great with several choices of different sauces.
One of my other favorites on the Happy Hour menu is the Bavarian Pretzel for $5. We joke that the pretzel is the size of my buddy Glenn’s head and, well, let’s just say that’s big. You get two different dipping sauces with the pretzel, a cheese sauce and a honey mustard sauce.
The Shrimp Cocktail at half price during Happy Hour is legit. I like to get what I call the poor man’s “Surf n Turf” — Chicken Wings and Shrimp Cocktail.
Some of the other good items on the Happy Hour menu are the sliders as they have both hamburger sliders and meatball sliders. The Grilled Chicken Quesadilla is very good.
Honestly there are so many great items on the Happy Hour menu I can come several times a week and have something different every time. For you beer drinkers they have great specials during Happy Hour and you get a raffle ticket for alcohol purchases on Monday Nights. They draw for prizes when the game is over.
From the great Video Wall for watching games to outstanding food, I make Sagos one of my favorite places for watching games. The waitresses are very friendly and make sure your glass is never empty. I give Sagos Tavern a Rating of 4 Forks.
