A typical game between two losing NFL teams normally wouldn’t carry much weight or interest, but this week’s closing matchup is the opposite.  Week 13 Monday Night Football holds significant playoff implications, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) and New Orleans Saints (4-8) battle it out for major real estate in the NFC South.

Players put on their cleats extra tight when these two divisional rivals meet on the field together, but which ones back up their talk, and which ones fold under the bright primetime lights? Here’s a few player props and anytime touchdown scorer bets for Saints vs. Buccaneers MNF.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers MNF Odds

After winning their Week 2 meeting early this season, the Bucs – priced between +178 and +195 on the moneyline as of Monday morning – are 3- to 3.5-point road favorites against their divisional foes in Round 2. New Orleans’ odds range from -150 and -165 for an outright win.

Both teams have cost bettors some money in 2022. The Saints are 0-5 against the spread (ATS) on the road and 2-6 ATS as the underdog. The Bucs, meanwhile, are 0-4-1 ATS at Raymond James Stadium and 3-7-1 ATS as the favorite.

DraftKings bettors are choosing Tampa Bay as the lesser of two evils, as the home team is receiving 70% of spread tickets and 81% of moneyline tickets.

The Over/Under total for this divisional clash is pegged at 41 points on legal US sports betting apps.

Player Props, TD Scorer Bets for MNF Week 13

Mike Evans Under 4.5 Receptions (+115, DraftKings)

How well Mike Evans performs Monday night is contingent on one man: Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore owns Evans. Period.

Evans has faced Lattimore on 10 separate occasions – regular season and postseason. In the first head-to-head meeting, the Bucs receiver caught seven balls for 147 yards and a score. In the next nine encounters, he had never caught more than four balls in a game.

Lattimore is returning after sitting out the past two months with an abdominal injury. Even if he’s dealing with some pain or is limited, he’ll still shadow Evans and make his life miserable all night long.

Chris Godwin Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-115, BetRivers)

Godwin is seemingly up to full speed after suffering a torn ACL late last season. He has topped 67.5 receiving yards in three of his past four games, and just posted 12 catches for 110 yards and one touchdown in his latest showing.

Here’s an interesting split stat: Godwin is averaging seven catches, 114.7 yards, and one score in the team’s first meeting of the past three seasons against New Orleans, but just four catches, 45.7 yards, and zero touchdowns in the rematches.

Now, he didn’t play in the Week 2 game due to injury, but we think he’ll treat Monday’s matchup more like a first meeting for himself than like a second meeting for the team.

Rachaad White Anytime TD Scorer (+170, BetMGM)

With Leonard Fournette dealing with a hip injury and running inefficiently all year, Rachaad White has taken over the starting role in the Bucs backfield.

Although he has just one score on the season, White is still the starting running back of a decent NFL offense, which makes him at least 50-50 to score a touchdown in any given game. He’ll also get the first crack on a touchdown if the team enters the red zone.

But it’s not just a coin-flip of a prop bet to wager on. It’s being offered at as long at +170 on BetRivers – a set-and-forget prop betting option.

Alvin Kamara Over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-110, FanDuel)

Alvin Kamara’s play has been one of the most volatile of any player this season. He can total 150 scrimmage yards and two scores one game, but then manage 50 scoreless yards the following week.

But the one area he’s been consistent and productive in has been in the receiving department. Kamara has topped his Week 13 receiving prop total in five of his last six games, averaging 47.8 receiving yards over that span.

The Saints’ dual-threat back also has a deep history of productive receiving outputs against the Bucs, amassing 29-plus yards through the air in seven of his 10 meetings.

Andy Dalton Longest Completion Under 33.5 Yards (-115, Caesars)

This would be a great place to take the Over if Jameis Winston was still the starting quarterback for the Saints, but alas, we’re dealing with Dalton and his risk-averse, checkdown throwing.

The Bucs allow the fourth lowest yards per completion (9.1) and the fifth fewest passing yards (192.0 per game) to opposing offenses. They also rank third in sacks (3.3 per game). Dalton will face a ton of pressure and won’t have time to look downfield for the big play.
