Race 1

Statebred maidens travel a mile on the grass. No. 5 Evicted is a lightly raced 3yo Artie Schiller colt. He has not done much in his two turf races but now gets the hot riding Arroyo and back in with statebreds. No. 8 Monterey Shale lost at even money last out at Del Mar, if he runs back to his race here back in Juen he wins and that last work says he is on go. 5-8

Race 2

Maiden 2yo fillies go the tough distance of seven furlongs. No. 3 Fortunate Queen exits our HTW list as a $$$$$ play, she gets a nice jock switch to Bejarano and will be very hard to beat. Mike Smith gets on first time starter No. 4 Princess Karen for Jeff Bonde off a very sharp 4 furlong work. 3***-4

Race 3

We only get five runners, before scratches, running in this race, very sad to say the least. No. 2 Long Hot Summer has two wins and a second from her three races down the hill. No. 3 Enola Gray had her win streak broken last out and now will try the grass for the first time, she is the stablemate of Long Hot Summer. 2-3

Race 4

$16k claimers go 1-1/16 on the dirt. No. 3 Out of Patience is a 3 time winner here and gets Arroyo riding for Peter Miller on the drop in class and this has been a hot jockey trainer combo. No. 6 Perfect Set looks odds on in here with the huge drop in class and Bejarano getting the call for Hollendorfer. 3-6

Race 5

30yo $50k claimers go 7 furlongs on the dirt. No. 1 Bolitar always runs his race and broke his maiden here at this distance. No. 6 Boldly True won here at this 7 furlong distance for a $75k price tag back in April, we love the jockey upgrade for Hollendorfer again. 1-6

Race 6

We get $25k claimers going 7 furlongs in this race for horses that have never won two races. No. 7 Matriculate was once thought of as a real nice prospect but he never panned out. He drops in for a $25k price tag and this is his race to lose and that last work says he wins, we will single. 7

Race 7

This one is a wide open $40k optional claimer for 3yo and up going a mile on the grass. No. 12 Fritz Johansen is the one we like as he exits our HTW list but he is stuck on the also list and would need to draw in. If not we will go with No. 1 He Will who gets Bejarano back on board and the one time he rode this colt he got the win. No. 4 Fabozzi is the speed and the speed has been holding on this course. 1-4 (12)

Race 8

More $40k optional claimers, this time they go 1-1/16 on the dirt. No. 1 Spud Spivens comes off a nice wire-to-wire win but he can run on or off the pace. The only problem with him is that he seems to win every other race and this is not his win race. No. 9 Saint Dermot finished behind Spud last out and will try and turn the tables with the big jock switch. 9*-1

Race 9

$20k maiden fillies and mares travel 7 furlongs on the dirt. No. 4 Big Miss Steak bobbled at the break and was off slow in her one and only race, she has a nice last work and looks like a player here at what should be a square price. No. 5 Cosmic Beauty is the only first time starter in a very soft field and she had top connections and we get Bejarano again and he looks to be sitting on a huge day. 5**-4
