Race 1

This big meet starts with some good looking maiden 2yo going 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 1 River Boyne ran a big second in his first start in the states and Prat will ride again. Richard Mandella sends out No. 8 Erotic with Gary Stevens sticking for the ride, he has been nibbling but these 2yo can get better at the blink of an eye. Maybe the best turf rider in the country is in town, Javier Castellano and he gets on No. 9 Fengari who ran a good third in his first try going long last out, he is bred for this and we love Javier. Bejarano gets back on No. 10 Big Buzz who is back with maidens after trying some Grade 3 runners last out. 1**-9-8-10

Race 2

Now we get maiden 2yo going seven furlongs. No. 7 Goodwillambassador gets his second start and his last work screams out I’m ready to roll! No. 8 Blame the Rider was well bet in his one start but bobbled, he did show some good early speed after but tired. Baffert sends out the $210k Bernardini ridgeling No. 9 American Rule with Prat who will try and take down the early double. Baffert also sends out No. 10 Longden and we love to see Van Dyke getting the call, look for big time effort today. No. 12 Candy Cornell ran huge first out at 65/1 finishing a good second, he has speed but could get hung out to dry. 7*-9-10-8-12

Race 3

Baffert sends out his war horse No. 1 Hoppertunity who just makes a check every race as he has won over $4 million, he also sends out No. 6 Collected who gets big race Mike Smith on today after finishing second last out to Gun Runner in the BC Classic, could this be Baffert one two? 6**-1

Race 4

Maiden 2yo fillies go down the hill. No. 1 Tell Your Mama is bred for the grass and gets her first shot on the green today after running four times on the dirt. No. 2 Chickatini exits our HTW list as a $$$ play, she gets her second start after finishing a better than looked 4th first out going 5 furlongs on the Del Mar grass after a very wide trip. No. 3 Ladybug will be flying away home as she gets a turn back in distance after running a mile on the grass in her last two starts, he last work says she is ready. Jockey Rajiv Maragh who has moved his tac to the West Coast gets his first ride on No. 9 Tiny Tina for Richard Baltas, this filly has been working with a purpose. No. 10 Sensible Myth exits the same race as Chickatini, she also gets her second start as does No. 11 Enayat Alsalam who also exits the race. This one is wide open but we will key on the Chickatini race. 2** -10-11 (ALT: 1-3-9).

Race 5

Optional $40k claimers go 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Big Gray Rocket starts a late 3yo career, he was well thought of by Baffert last year when he sent him to the Grade 1 Champagne but something must have happened as he hasn’t run since off his 4th place finish. If ready he wins this. Peter Miller sends out No. 8 Spectre Bond who has been bet like a good thing in both of his starts, we will use both in the pick five. 4-8

Race 6

We will use two runners exiting the same race, the Grade 2 Del Mar Derby a race in which the winner Sharp Samurai came back and won again next out. No. 5 Bowies Hero who finished 3rd but raced two times after that, his last in the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby, Kent D sticks for D’Amato. No. 8 Big Score the second place finisher in the Del Mar Derby who also ran a good 3rd in the Hollywood Derby. 5-8

Race 7

The race looks like a battle between No. 3 Unique Bella who has won 4 of 5 starts here with a second and No. 7 Paradise Woods who has won 3 of her 4 starts here with a second. The upset runner here is No. 5 Faypien who has won 3 of her 4 starts here with a second. 3-7-5

Race 8

Trainer I win everything wherever I go, Chad Brown brings in No. 4 Favorable Outcome with Javier back on today, he has been working lights out at Belmont. No. 8 Dabster exits our HTW list and looks to keep his undefeated streak alive on the big move up in class, we think he can. No. 9 C Z Rocket is also 3 for 3 and is in from back East for Albert Stall Jr, Jose Lezcano strings along for the ride. 8**-4-9

Race 9

This huge day ends with a full field of optional $40k runners going a mile on the grass, we love it when Kent D rides the last race and we also love it when her rides for Baltas, we get both here as he is on No. 6 Temple Keys and his last work has him sitting on go. No. 5 Spanish Hombre. No. 7 Ice Kat. No. 10 Dark Energy and No. 11 Lazzam who was the fast closing second place finisher last out all exit the same race. 6**-11*-7-10
