Race 1

Cal bred maiden 3yo fillies go a mile on the grass. No. 5 An Eddie Surprise never ran a step on the dirt last out but did run a solid second going down the hill here in her first start. She gets back on the grass and Roman gets the call today for O’Neill. No. 6 Mo See Cal is the stablemate of Eddie and O’Neill’s got to rider opts for this filly over Eddie. 5-6

Race 2

Maiden 3yo go 6-1/2 on the dirt. Baffert sends out the $400k first time starter No. 1 Show Time Rocket, he also sends out first timer No. 4 Masked who has been working like a big time runner, we say one of them will get the cash today. 4***-1

Race 3

$32k claimers go a mile on the dirt. No. 3 Kona Dreams’ last win came here, he drops a notch and could be the speed. Iggy doesn’t ride many but has a shot with a price on No. 4 Just Kidding from off the pace.

Race 4

Maiden fillies and mares 4yo and up go a mile on the grass. No. 1 Lady Mamba ran a good second going a mile on the Del Mar grass. No. 2 Chalky had a troubled trip first in the country when running behind No. 4 Achira who looks the filly to beat. D’Amato sends out three in this race: No. 2 Chalky, No. 7 Night Bloom and the speedy No. 8 Morning Dance, this race will be all about the trip so don’t take a short price.

Race 5

$20k maidens 4yo and up go 1-1/16 on the dirt. No. 3 Is Trevor Clever ran a very good last race at this level but Roman who rode him in that race opts for the Hollendorfer Golden Gate shipper dropper No. 4 Seau who takes his first shot vs. Maiden claimers. 3-4

Race 6

Optional $40k 3yo fillies go a mile on the dirt. If No. 1 Lady Phyllis can transfer her mile turf race one back to the dirt she has a big shot. No. 5 Sauce On Side comes off a big time maiden score at this distance and fits here. No. 7 Winsinfashion broke her maiden here at this mile distance. 1-5-7

Race 7

No. 6 Anita Partner has hit the board in all five of her downhill races. No. 7 Proper Discretion gets her first try on the grass after winning 10 of 18 on the main, Prat will ride for D’Amato, if the price is right we will use. No. 9 Beau Recall has been meeting Grade I company in her last four races going long, she will be making a big late run.  6-7-9

Race 8

$12,500 maidens 4yo and up go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Gosofar takes a big drop in class but Roman sticks. No. 6 Informality is the only runner in this race who owns a win here and his price will be juicy. 2-6

Race 9

$62,500 optional claimers 4yo and up go down the hill. No. 1 Anatolian Heat has run good on this course but will need to use his early speed to get clear of the bad rail post. No. 4 Harbour Master gets some class relief. He beat $80k optional runners one race back at a mile on the grass, his one downhill race was in the juvenile turf sprint here back when. No. 5 Tribal Fighter will be part of the early pace and he owns a win going down the hill. No. 8 Ronald R is in from over the pond for Simon Callaghan, he gets a great post and Prat will ride. With all that has been said we will take our shot with No. 4 Harbour Master. 4*
