SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Cal bred maiden 3yo fillies go down the hill. No. 7 An Eddie Surprise ran a good second when coming out of the one post in her first start and it was on this course. No. 9 Nothing But Heat went a mile on the grass to start her career she is bred like a good thing for this course and we love Nakatani getting on today. 9**-7

Race 2

Lots of early speed in here. No. 2 Miracle March showed he could rate a little last out off the layoff, he will need those tactics today. No. 5 Swiss Minister is the only true closer in the race. 5-2

Race 3

No. 5 Starr of Quality gets Franco Geovanni on for Jacobson first off the $40k claim and he puts this filly into this $32k claimer looking to recoup some of his cash quick. No. 6 Li’l Grazen gets off the grass and back to the distance of her win one race back. 5-6

Race 4

No. 4 Pomp and Party is in top form and the filly to beat in this $16k claimers going six furlongs. No. 1 Divine Spark exits he same race. No. 7 Coronado Cool comes back to town and has hit the board in all four starts here. 4-1-7

Race 5

$50k maiden claimers 4yo and up go down the hill. No. 1 Captain Ron has run down the hill two times with a second and a third. No. 4 Kopitar has been down the hill three times with a second and two thirds and he drops from straight maiden races. No. 6 Glorious Crown drops, gets Rajiv who is starting to heat up and also gets his first turf start. 4-6-1

Race 6

$6,250 claimers go 5-1/2 furlongs this is a race you would have never seen in the past at this track but times are changing and the horse supply is short to say the least. Most of these need to lead so we will go with No. 5 Indavidualist and No. 6 Black Tie ’n Tails both of whom can sit and make late runs. 5-6

Race 7

Optional $75k 3yo go a mile on the grass. No. 3 Move Over got his first race in the country going down the hill, he was a good second and will love the extra distance today and Mike Smith sticks. No. 8 River Boyne blasted home last out going 1-1/8 on this grass course to break his maiden, Prat knows him well. 3-8

Race 8

$20k maiden 3yo fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs and the key filly in here is No. 11 Cinnamon Twist who drops from three straight maiden races and will go sprinting for the first time, this is her race to lose. We will key on her using No. 2 Magnificent Q T a live first time starter, No. 3 Bragging Rights who has some early speed and drops a notch and No. 5 Starship Treasure off a good last work. 11-2-3-5
