SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Just another lack luster Thursday at the not so great race place as we start off with a mile dirt race for $12,500 claimers 4yo and up. No. 6 Uncle Billy who was our play just seven days ago is wheeled bay by Peter Miller and takes a double drop in class and the bug Asa Espinoza gets up today. No. 7 Moonman gets Kent D riding for his brother and we love the jock switch. 7**-6

Race 2

It gets a little more lack luster at the not so great race place as we get $16k maiden claimers fillies and mares 4yo and up going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 So Euro takes a big drop after just getting beat by a nostril in her first start, she also exits our HTW list but looks odds on with these. No. 6 Blame the Weather (on the handle) is back from the Gate where she must missed for a $25k price tag. No. 7 Knowitallhousewife exits the So Euro race. 3***-7-6

Race 3

Optional $40k fillies and mare 4yo and up go a mile on the grass. No. 6 Vasilika is in tip top form and has a win and a second from her two turf starts here. No. 7 Siberian Iris comes off a good second at this level and distance last out in a troubled trip. 6-7

Pick three

1st 7

2nd 3-6-7

3rd 6-7

Race 4

3yo maidens go six furlongs. No. 3 Kidmon gets off the grass for Sadler in this his second start, that last work was a pip! No. 4 Twisted Road showed much improved early speed last out in his second start and any move forward gets him the win. 3-4

Race 5

$30k maiden fillies and mares 4yo and up go 1-1/16 on the dirt. No. 1 Victoria Falls comes off a solid 3rd in her first try at this level and if able to get a good rail trip she has a shot. No. 2 Onassis gets the stretchout in this her second at this level and first going long, the light weight will help her chances. No. 7 Mischievous Song gets off the grass and gets a drop in class. 1-2-7

Race 6

$12,500 claiming fillies and mares 4yo and up who have never won two races go 1-1/16 and one of these girls will get win number two. No. 5 Tizno’s Dilemma gets off the grass and will find a good pace to make her late run on the dirt. No. 7 Tiki Bar Logic is the speed of the speed and she will try and hold off TizNo.  5-7

Race 7

Optional $75k 3yo go six furlongs and Baffert looks to have them cornered in this race as he sends out No. 1 Zulfikhar who is back from a 4th place finish at Oklawn Park and No. 6 Ax Man who was scratched on Sunday for this easier spot. 1-6

Race 8

Maiden fillies and mares go 5-1/2 furlongs. We really need to hit the all button in this very soft race but we will step out and take a shot with No. 4 Wild At Midnight with Van Dyke getting on for Baffert who looks to take the late double, she will be a short price. 4

CHECK FOR LATE SCRATCHES AND CHECK THAT THE SADDLE CLOTH NUMBERS MATCH OUR SELECTION NUMBERS.
