No. 2 Dre Dan exits the same race, he was the even-money favorite that day but may not have liked the course. No. 3 Golden Ready made his first start sprinting five furlongs on the Del Mar grass, he never ran a step after breaking slow, he just worked a bullet when best of 93 here on the 22nd. No. 5 Montmartre has run back-to-back big efforts. 1-2-3-5

Race 3

Maiden 2yo fillies go six furlongs, Van Dyke rides first-time starter No. 3 Inshannity for Bob Baffert, Mike Smith rides first-time starter No. 5 It’sjustanillusion for Jerry Hollendorfer and this filly has a huge last work. 5**-3

Race 4

$25k claimers go down the hill, trainer Peter Miller is a master at getting horses ready to run this course and he sends out No. 7 River Echo for his first try on this course and the good turf rider Drayden Van Dyke will ride, Kent Desormeaux gets back on No. 10 Temple Keys who gets his first try on this course, we love it when Kent rides for Richard Baltas. 7-10

No. 2 Abel Tasman looks to make it three straight Grade 1 wins. No. 3 La Force has finished second in back-to-back Grade 1 races and will be the one to fear late. 2**-3

THE $200K GRADE 2 JOHN HENRY TURF CHAMPIONSHIP AT 1-1/4

We like No. 7 Fashion Business in this seven-horse field, he can get the distance and is in top form and Prat fits like a glove, bet him to cash. 7***

WIN AND PLACE 7

Race 7

$25k 3yo fillies go six furlongs. No. 3 Spectacular Move just won for this price tag at Del Mar, he has had a nice work since and looks on go. No. 7 Twisted Rosie exits the same race one back, she gets off the grass and is a two-time winner on this course. 3*-7

Race 8

$25k claimers go seven furlongs. No. 3 Face of Victory will show all of her speed at this level. No. 5 Old Indian Trick is very consistent and will get a piece. No. 8 Livin On Prayer has run three times with a win and two seconds, he gets his first start off the $20k Peter Miller claim. 8**-3-5

Race 9

The day ends with optional $40k claimers with runners going down the hill. No. 7 Placido gets his second start off the layoff and he won in his only start on this course. No. 8 David’s Memory has won two races and both came down the hill, he gets his second start off the layoff. 7**-8
