$20k maiden fillies and mare go 6-1/2 furlongs on the dirt. No. 1 Just Kathy has been well bet in both of her starts vs. straight maidens and now takes the big drop. No. 8 Big Base is in from up North and gets her second start off the Hollendorfer claim, she looks the one to beat. 8-1

Race 3

$75k maiden 2yo go six furlongs. No. 1 Perfect Dude gets his second start for Miller, he was sent off as the 2/1 chalk first out and Prat sticks. No. 2 Emtech takes his first start for trainer Callaghan who does will with first timers in for a price. No. 6 Haydens Havoc is the stablemate of the Perfect Dude and a must use. 1-2-6

Race 4

THE $100K FIVE FURLONG SPEAKEASY FOR 2YO ON THE GRASS

No. 3 Mae Never No is in from back East for trainer Wesley Ward who is great with 2yo, Gary Stevens rides. No. 4 Midnight Mystery gets his second start for Baffert, he was sent off as the odds on favorite first out and finished 3rd, he is bred for the grass. No. 5 Hartel won at this distance one race back and then just missed in the 1 mile Del Mar Juvenile Turf. 5**-3-4

THE $300K GRADE I SANTA ANITA SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP AT SIX FURLONGS

No. 2 Roy H won this race last year and Paco Lopez is in for the ride. No. 4 Edwards Going Left is on consistent 4yo gelding who is legged up off his last race going a mile, he came back to work a bullet when best of 103. No. 5 Ransom the Moon exits a win in the Grade I Bing Crosby last out. 2-4-5

Race 6

Optional $75k fillies and mares go down the hill. No. 7 Painting Corners has good early speed which has been the way to go in these downhill turf sprints, she can battle and win and we love Van Dyke riding. Prat who rode Painting Corners last out for the win opts for No. 8 Rubilinda who is in from Belmont Park. No. 9 Go On Mary is on a win every other race pattern and this is her win race. 7**-8-9

Race 7

$10k claimers travel 7 furlongs. No. 7 Monterey Shale drops back to the level of his last win and gets Baze back on. No. 9 Braddock is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race on the drop. 7-9

Race 8

Optional $40k claimers travel 6-1/2 furlongs on the dirt. No. 2 Solid Wager likes this course and is in great form. No. 4 Best Two Minutes gets his first start off the Sadler claim and the win and a big last work.

THE $200K GRADE II CITY OF HOPE MILE ON THE GRASS

Trainer Clement brings in No. 2 White Flag, he ships to win and Kent D gets the call. No. 8 Sharp Samurai never misses a beat and comes into this race sporting a bullet last work when best of 87. 2*-8*

Race 10

$12,500 claimers go six furlongs, Hollendorfer sends out two in here. No. 9 Psychedelicat a first time gelding on the drop and No. 14 Latitude of a big last work for this level. 9-14

Race 11

Maiden 2yo fillies go down the hill in a tough race to end this big day. Gary Stevens sticks around to ride the last race and miss happy hour, he sticks with No. 1 Hyde Park Corner. No. 2 Colonial Creed has finished second in both of her starts, both on the grass at a mile. No. 9 Barbadolla will like this downhill turf course and comes off a nice last work. 1-2-9
