No. 2 Over Emphasize ran good in her last start at Del Mar back in September and owns a big time last work. No. 6 Flat Out Joy looks the speed in this six horse field if the three first time starters don’t fire.

$20k starter allowance fillies and mares travel 1-1/8 on the grass we hope. No. 5 Halo Darlin is wheeled back in just seven days and gets her first start off the Michael Pender claim. Joel Rosario will ride. No. 6 Speakers is wheeled back in just eight days and gets Drayden Van Dyke. No. 7 Believe Indeed is the stablemate of Halo Darlin so Darlin could be a late scratch. 5-6-7

Race 3

$32k 3yo claimers go a mile on the main. The new bug boy J. C. Diaz is picking up some good mounts for some top barns so he must have some ability. He gets on No. 1 Ack for Doug O’Neill who also sends out No. 5 Palladium with Rosario up, another five horse field. 5-1

Race 4

3yo maidens travel 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 5 Storms River has run three good races and looks to have found an easy spot. No. 6 Mutineer exits a key race, he was wiped out at the start and may like going long today. No. 10 Harmon gets on the grass for the first time in this his fifth start. 5-6-10

Race 5

Cal bred 3yo maidens go 6-1/2 furlongs on the main. First time starter No. 2 Curry blasted a huge work here on the 12th. No. 4 Starring John Wain just missed last out for a $50k price tag in a trouble race. No. 7 Prodigal Son had a troubled race in his one start and will show more early speed today. 2-4-7

Race 6

3yo maiden fillies travel a mile on the grass. No. 3 Holly Hundy is in from Florida for Vladimir Cerin and gets Giovani Franco. No. 4 Unicorn ran a big second in her first start down the hill when beating the speedy No. 8 Posit. 3-4-8

Race 7

$12,500 fillies and mares 4yo and up go 6-1/2 furlongs on the main. No. 1 Heloise is perfectly spotted off the maiden win last out as is No. 5 Gia Lula. No. 6 Whirling gets a big class drop and will wake up in this spot. 1-5-6

Race 8

THE $70K WISHING WELL GOING DOWN THE HILL FOR FILLIES AND MARES 4YO AND UP

Trainer Peter Miller is a master with runners going down the hill and he sends out No. 7 Belvoir Bay who has won 4 of 5 going down the hill. Peter Miller also sends out No. 9 Painting Corners with Jose Delgadillo up today. He will be the price of the two with this overlooked but capable rider up. 7**-9*

THE $200K GRADE II SANTA MONICA AT 7 FURLONGS FOR FILLIES AND MARES 4YO AND UP

No. 2 Selcourt had a nice prep for this and won this race last year. No. 3 Marley’s Freedom comes off a Grade III win at Aqueduct back in December. If she is ready she wins. Her stablemate No. 4 Dream Tree looks to redeem after not running a step last out at odds on. 2-3-4

Race 10

$50k maiden 3yo go down the hill we hope to end the day. No. 1 Kichiro ran a better than looked race first out with straight maidens on this course and that ended up as a key race. No. 5 Palaleo drops and makes his first start as a gelding and first on the grass. No. 8 Secret Courier exits the same key race as Kichiro. No. 10 River God is in from Gulfstream Park, he makes his first start as a gelding and gets Lasix.
