SANTA ANITA

Race 1

No. 8 Meritocracy has ran good in all three of her starts including two at this level. The slower track may help her chances. No. 9 A Dime for Me gets off the grass and has a nice last work, she looks the filly to beat. 9-8

Race 2

THE $100K SENSATIONAL STAR DOWN THE HILL

No. 5 Eddie Haskell likes going five furlongs on the grass but maybe Joel Rosario can get him home today going the 6 ½ furlong distance on the grass. No. 7 Pee Wee Reese is a perfect 2 for 2 on this course, he can run off the layoff. 7**-5

Race 3

Lots of early speed in this six furlong sprint for $12,500 fillies and mares. No. 8 Lovely Raquel has a lot going for her at this level. She drops a notch, finds the perfect setup and has a nice last work. Also, we like Agapito Delgadillo getting back on for his buddy Victor Garcia, all systems are a go! No. 7 Heloise looks the main danger from off the pace. 8***-7

KEY PLAY WIN AND PLACE 8 AND EXACTA BOX 8-7

Race 4

THE $100K GRADE 3 SAN SIMEON GOING DOWN THE HILL

No. 1 Conquest Tsunami has never been off the board on this course, he is the speed on the rail. No. 3 Arms Runner has won 3 of 4 going down the hill. No. 7 La Sardane gets a turn back in distance off the layoff, she meets the boys in this spot. 1-3-7

Race 5

No. 4 Fly Away Birdie comes off the layoff for Vladimir Cerin. He was seen running at Keeneland back in October of 2018. No. 6 Owning the pure white runners will sit right off the pace and look to get the jump on them turning for home. 6-4

Race 6

No. 1 Galloping Mischief looked good when breaking his maiden first out going down the hill. He could come right back, we like to play on runners who broke their maidens after several races. No. 3 Big Buzz took ten races to get his diploma and the one time he went down the hill he lost by a dwindling neck. No. 5 Blitzkrieg is a two time winner down the hill including winning his last on this course by more than six lengths, he also owns a big last work. 5**-1-3

Race 7

Cal bred maidens go six furlongs. No. 10 Jamming Eddy was meeting open company in Florida. He ships West and lands in the Peter Miller barn and now meets cal breds, look for better. After him this one is wide open, watch the board. 10—

Race 8

THE $100K IRISH OBRIEN FOR CAL BRED FILLIES AND MARES 4YO AND UP GOING DOWN THE HILL

No. 8 Barbara Beatrice looks to be sitting on a big race and the price will be right. She exits the same last race as No. 10 S Y Sky her stablemate who will be the chalk. 8-10

Race 9

$25k maiden fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 1 Whata Flirt has been close on several occasions in her twelve race career. No. 5 Caracortada is a first time starter for Peter Miller. She is out of the dam Docs Doll who has dropped 8 winners from 8 starters. She finally makes the races at age five. No. 6 Awesome Amanda ran a solid second when dropped to this level last out. No. 9 Buyback has been working good for her debut race and gets the bug boy Jorge Velez up for Bill Morey. 1-5-6-9

CHECK FOR LATE SCRATCHES.
