Race 1

Cal bred maiden fillies and mares travel a mile on the grass. No. 3 Goodtingscominpink ran right behind the speedy No. 4 Lucky Lately last out. Lucky Lately just missed by 3/4 of a length. No. 5 Stylin Ocean also was in the race and ran a better than looked 4th. 3-4-5

Race 2

$25k 3yo travel a mile on the dirt. No. 1 Ack and No. 4 Diamond Blitz will both be out winging it on the front end and that could set things up for No. 2 Palladium who will be sitting ready to pounce turning for home. 2**-1-4

Race 3

$25k maidens travel a mile on the dirt. No. 2 Outlaw is the speed and gets his second try at this level. No. 6 Union Station gets that ultimate drop from straight maiden races second off the layoff and Rafael Bejarano gets the call. No. 7 Mr Classical also gets his second try at this level. No. 8 Mongolian Empire also drops in from straight maiden races. 6-8-2-7

Race 4

Maiden 3yo fillies go five furlongs on the grass. No. 2 Moreisbetter has been working like a runner. No. 4 Flower Point is bred for the grass and gets Flavien Prat up for John Sadler. No. 7 Virginia Hall owns a big time last work and the good turf rider Drayden Van Dyke gets on for Philip D’Amato. No. 10 Fabiolla is in from over the pond where she ran some good races on the synthetic surface as a 2yo. 10**-7*-2-4

Race 5

We get just five runners signed up for the Kona Gold, so sad. Prat gets back on No. 5 Kanthaka who he was on for his win in the 7 furlong Malibu here back in December. After him any of the other four can win. 5 (all).

Race 6

$40k optional claimers fillies and mares going a mile on the grass. No. 4 Querelle stretches out in this her second start off the layoff and second in the states, her last work was zippy. No. 5 Tammy’s Window has been a hot commodity at the claim box and now takes her first start off the $40k Sadler claim. No. 6 Tiny Tina is in top form and gets Prat back on for D’Amato. Mike Smith makes a rare ride for low level trainer Anna Meah on No. 7 Catoca, beware. No. 8 Mongolian Window looks the speed of the speed.

Race 7

$12,500 fillies and mares go seven furlongs. No. 5 Tiz Toffee is back from the Gate. She just missed here for a $25k price tag one race back and now takes a suspicious class drop second off the $25k Alfredo Marquez claim. She could be over bet. No. 6 HELOISE will be our play in here, she will find a fast early pace to set up her late run, she owns a big last work for this level and beds down in a sharp barn.

Race 8

Optional $40k fillies and mares travel a mile on the grass. No. 3 Peter’s Kitten shipped in here looking to run on the grass but caught a sloppy track and she won anyway. She now gets on the grass off the good maiden score and gets Prat up. No. 7 Merger Arbitrage gets her 3rd start off the layoff and 3rd here on the West Coast. She looks ready to run a big race with the hard trying and capable Gryder up. No. 8 Stradella Road will be battling No. 10 Lady Mamba on the front end, one will survive. 3-7-8-10

Race 9

$30k maidens go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Victor’s Show ran his best race last out for $25k and now gets a little move up but really doesn’t meet stronger. No. 9 Wicken Fen was last seen vs. straight maiden runners a year ago here when running a good 5th. We like Agapito Delgadillo up. No. 10 Harliss is the speed on the drop.
