Race 1

We continue the three days of racing at the once great race place with just another sad card. We start the day with a $25k maiden race for fillies and mares going a mile on the main. No. 5 Thanks is the speed and once again will try and take them wire-to-wire. No. 6 Zillinda gets the needed drop in class in this her 18th lifetime start. Oh well, she does have a shot. 5-6

Race 2

We get a field of six fillies and mares traveling a mile on the turf for a $25k price tag. No. 3 Discrete Stevie B comes off a nice wire-to-wire win when breaking her maiden last out when Aaron Gryder got on her. He stays and she could take them wire-to-wire again, after her any of the other five can win. 3

Race 3

$50k maiden 3yo go seven furlongs. No. 2 Mind Trick gets off the grass and Flavien Prat on for Doug O’Neill. No. 3 Ohtani just missed last out going 6-1/2 furlongs. The extra half a furlong will help his chances today and trainer Bill Spawr is having a great meet winning at 30%. No. 5 Union Ride rounds out this five horse field, he is the only first time starter in the race. He has a big last work and his dam, Union Waters, has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters. 3-2-5

Race 4

We get just another six horse field, this time maidens going a mile on the grass. No. 1 Hackberry exits a key race and his breeding says he will love this trip. No. 6 Springs Eternal has been working great for Richard Mandella and looks ready to roll first out of the box. 6**-1

Race 5

Wow, we get a full field of eight Cal bred $50k maidens going 6-1/2 furlongs on the dirt. No. 4 Don’tteasethetiger drops in class and owns back-to-back big works, look for better. No. 6 Etterbay Ucklay looks live at first asking. No. 7 Sea’s Journey has run three straight big races at this level, just missing last out after battling tooth and nail the entire trip. 7**-4-6

Race 6

We get a field of six $75k maiden fillies and mares going six furlongs. No. 3 Storming Lady is the speed in this her 10th start. No. 4 Noble Girl looks live at a nice price first out. No. 5 Jaccat takes her 4th start and first for a price tag, Prat jumps on so look for better. 3-4-5

Race 7

Just another six horse field as we get $62,500 optional fillies and mares going five furlongs on the grass. We made this a two horse race between No. 2 Gliding By who won going down the hill one race back and and No. 3 Ficanas who has won both of her turf sprints. 2-3

Race 8

We get a field of nine $16k runners going six furlongs to end this lack luster day. No. 3 Hey Sequoia ran a nice second last out when dropped to this level for the first time. No. 5 Fast Cotton is the speed on the drop and will take some beating in this spot if able to clear early. 3-5
