Race 1

We get just five runners in this $12,500 claimer. A sad way to start the day at the once Great Race Place. We will single No. 3 Best Two Minutes on the drop down. He will sit right behind the speed and mow them down in the lane. 3*

Race 2

No. 3 Kristi’s Copilot gets his first start off the Tim Yakteen claim and we like Joseph Talamo getting up. He will also like getting back on the grass. No. 6 Crown the Kitten is back from Turf Paradise and finds a good spot. 3-6

Race 3

In the past these maiden 2yo races would get at least eight runners but today we get just five 2yo maiden fillies going 4 ½ furlongs. Trainer Doug O’Neill sends two of the five out with No. 2 Acai and No. 5 A Thousand Dreams. 5**-2

Race 4

There is a ton of early speed in this mile dirt race for $12,500 starter allowance runners. We will single No. 1 Scathing on drop in class and getting off the grass. 1**

Race 5

We get a full field of cal bred optional $20k fillies and mares going five furlongs on the grass. No. 6 Moonshine Annie just missed by a nose last out at this distance and level. No. 8 Shylock Eddie exits our HTW list. She was a head behind Annie last out in what was a troubled trip. No. 9 Wishful comes off a big win on the dirt last out when Flavien Prat got on her, he sticks with her. 6-8-9

Race 6

No. 6 Wicked Fen ran good at this level last out finishing second. No. 7 Drink drops into a very live spot. No. 8 Victor’s Show gets Prat and exits the same race as the Wicked Fen. 6-7-8

Race 7

No. 1 Cordiality won this race last year. No. 6 Fiery Lady won one race back when Mike Smith rode her. He gets back on today. No. 9 Gypsy Blu is in tip top form looking for her fourth straight win. 1-6-9

Race 8

No. 1 Crackling Bread doesn’t like to win but is usually in the exotics. No. 2 Caracortada lost to Crackling Bread when that one broke her maiden. she came back and won next out. No. 7 Songofthedesert is perfectly spotted off the easy maiden win. 1-2-7

Race 9

Cal bred maiden fillies and mares travel a mile on the grass. No. 2 Opus Won comes off the layoff for Richad Baltas and gets Prat up. She could be live. No. 5 Y No Sizzle just missed last out at this distance on the grass. No. 10 Lucky Lately is the speed and finished ¾ of a length in front of Sizzle last out. 2-5-10
