SANTA ANITA
Race 1
We get just five runners in this $12,500 claimer. A sad way to start the day at the once Great Race Place. We will single No. 3 Best Two Minutes on the drop down. He will sit right behind the speed and mow them down in the lane. 3*
Race 2
No. 3 Kristi’s Copilot gets his first start off the Tim Yakteen claim and we like Joseph Talamo getting up. He will also like getting back on the grass. No. 6 Crown the Kitten is back from Turf Paradise and finds a good spot. 3-6
Race 3
In the past these maiden 2yo races would get at least eight runners but today we get just five 2yo maiden fillies going 4 ½ furlongs. Trainer Doug O’Neill sends two of the five out with No. 2 Acai and No. 5 A Thousand Dreams. 5**-2
Race 4
There is a ton of early speed in this mile dirt race for $12,500 starter allowance runners. We will single No. 1 Scathing on drop in class and getting off the grass. 1**
