We start this big day of racing with Cal bred maidens going five furlongs on the grass. We always take notice when trainer Phil D’Amato runs two in a maiden turf race. He sends out No. 5 Young Hendrick off the layoff and first time starter No. 6 Master Ryan, who he also owns. Trainer Peter Miller sends out No. 9 Give Me the Lute off the layoff with Flavien Prat getting up. 4-6-9
Race 2
$12,500 claimers travel 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Buck Duane will like the longer trip today. No. 4 Senditlikechilly will be the speed on the drop with Edwin Maldonado gunning from the bell. No. 7 Kidmon lost at .80 cents on the dollar last out at this level. 2-4-7
Race 3
Maiden 3yo travel 1-1/8 on the grass. Like Prat getting back on No. 1 Proud Pedro who he was on one race back for a good second. No. 3 Hackberry just missed last out and now gets his second start off the layoff. No. 6 Grand Meister exits our HTW list off a nice try first on the grass. No. 7 Farquhar exits the same race and should be set with this being his 3rd off the layoff. 6**-7-1-3

$50k maiden 3yo go 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Secret Courier drops back to the level of his near miss, one race back. No. 5 High Five gets a big jockey upgrade, he is a must use. 2-5

THE $200K GRADE II CHARLES WHITTINGHAM AT 1-1/4 ON THE GRASS
No. 1 Prime Attraction is back in town from Churchill Downs where he was up the track in the Grade I Turf Classic, he will be the speed in this spot. No. 3 Mackie’s Water is in top form and can get this distance. 1-3
Race 8
THE $200K GRADE II TRIPLE BEND AT SEVEN FURLONGS
No. 1 American Anthem has won 4 of his 5 starts at this tricky distance, he looks set second off the layoff. No. 5 Nero is the stablemate of American Anthem and he has been working bullets. 1-5
Race 9
$40k optional claimers travel a mile on the main. No. 5 Show Me Da Lute has been working bullets, he is sitting on a big effort. No. 6 Meistermind is in from Oaklawn Park and gets Prat up for Doug O’Neil. No. 7 California Journey looks the speed of the speed and is in tip top form. 5-6-7
Race 10
$62,500 optional runners travel 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 8 Oscar Dominguez gets his second start for trainer Richard Baltas and a big time jock upgrade to Prat. This looks like the money run after the $40k claim one race back. No. 9 The Hunted comes off a big win last out and is the stablemate of Oscar. No. 10 Unapologetic exits the same last race as Oscar. 8-9-10
