SANTA ANITA
Race 1
We start this, the next to last day of the meet, with a field of six maiden 2yo, going 4-1/2 furlongs. No. 2 D K’s Crown gets his second start and was well bet in his first start vs. straight maidens and now is dropped in for a $50k price tag. No. 5 Clear to Close is in for the dangerous Jonathan Wong and looks live at a price. No. 6 Bad Beat is a first time starter for trainer Adam Kitchingman, who is looking for his first win of the meet and we note that Flavien Prat will ride. 5-6-2
Race 2
Starter allowance fillies and mares travel a mile on the grass. No. 1 Believe Indeed gets her first start for her new barn, she is spotted perfectly off the win. No. 8 Halo Darlin is her stablemate, they could run one two in here. 1-8

In what is a sad day for the once “Great Race Place” we get just four runners in the $100k Dream of Summer at a mile on the dirt. We will be rooting for No. 2 Starr of Quality as he is part owned by Gaming Today columnist Jon Lindo. 2
Race 4
$25k runners travel a mile on the grass. No. 1 Holy Ghost finds a good spot for his closing style. No. 5 Royal Insider has good early speed and just could get the jump on them, he drops in this his second start off the claim. No. 9 Mr. Magico gets Prat and will be making a big late run. 5-9-1
