Optional $30k claimers go a flat mile on the main. No. 1 Desert General comes off a nice maiden win and has been working great. No. 3 Night’s Watch is in tip-top form and will be a factor from the bell. 1-3

3yo $50k claiming fillies go down the hill, we get the hot hook up of Arroyo and Peter Miller on No. 3 Venezuelan Gold as she gets her first taste of grass, the Desormeaux brothers hookup with No. 7 Kencho who broke her maiden down the hill and ran ok, first with winners down the hill last out vs. better. 7**-3

Race 6

$6,250 claimers go 6-1/2 furlongs on the dirt. No. 4 Second Proposal has run at this level in his last two starts with a win and a second. No. 6 Courageous Dave gets the bug boy Roman in this his second off the layoff, he is the price play. No. 7 Swiss Cheese exits our HTW list and will be right there. No. 8 Moments Notiz drops back to the level of the claim for Miller and will be a player. 4-6-7-8

3yo and up maidens go 6-1/2 furlongs on the main, on the surface nobody can win. No. 1 Nap Lajoie comes in from the Gate, he gets his second start after showing good speed and gets Prat. No. 4 Air Force Cadet ran a better than looked race after hopping at the start in his first try with $50k claimers, these are no better. Trainer Headley sends out two first-time starters in No. 6 Ground Attack and No. 7 Righteous Wave, both look live. No. 8 Lovely Anzi is a 6yo who comes off a 9 month layoff but has some big early speed and has a nice last work. 1-4-6-7-8

No. 1 Stormy Liberal has won 5 of 10 down the hill including his last two, the last time No. 3 Coastline went down the hill was in the $75k Clockers Corner and he won going away. No. 4 Richard’s Boy just lost by a nostril in his last down the hill in the $100k Sensational Star when getting beat by No. 5 Ambitious Brew who has won 6 of 11 down the hill, take the best price. 1-3-4-5

Race 9

Maiden fillies and mares go 7 furlongs, we will go singling here using No. 6 Faypien who exits our HTW list, she exits the Paradise Woods race and she came back to win a Grade I next out. The filly has a big last work and will be our play in a wide open race. 6
