SANTA ANITA
Race 1
Maidens go down the hill to start the day at the Great Race Place. No. 1 Nap Lajoie showed improved speed in her last on the dirt when Prat got on board and he sticks with him today. If No. 4 Insubordination can take back like he did going a mile on the grass he has a big shot. No. 7 Mor Candy also has some big early speed and we know Maldo will be gunning. There are two first time starters with some very good works: No. 2 Desert Law and No. 8 Hollywood Square who worked a bullet here on the 5th, watch the betting on those two. 1-4-7 ( 2-8).
Race 2
In this race we get maidens again this time going 6-1/2 furlongs on the main. No. 3 Pioneer Lad moves to a new barn as Richard Baltas is now in charge. No. 5 Omega Moon has back-to-back five furlong works for Baffert and that is a sign that this one is on go! No. 6 Gold Shot is the stablemate of Pioneer Lad and made a big late run last time out after breaking tardy. 3-5-6
Exacta box 3-5-6 and win and place 5

$40k optional claimers go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 5 American Pastime exits our HTW list off a resounding maiden score first out when bet down to the favorite, he has back-to-back bullets going into this and that race has been productive, we will take our shot and single in the pick five. 5

Race 4
THE $75K DESERT CODE DOWN THE HILL FOR 3YO
Peter Miller and his go to jock Norberto Arroyo hook up with No. 4 Arms Runner who won a first asking down the hill. No. 7 Cistron is very consistent, he has run all good races on the grass going a mile and will love this course. 4-7
Race 5
THE $100K GRADE III LAZ BARRERA AT 7 FURLONGS FOR 3YO
No. 1 American Anthem gets some class relief after meeting Grade I competition in the Santa Anita Derby. No. 2 Kimbear also exits that race. No. 3 Bobby Abu Dhabi and No. 6 Aristocratic both have a shot.

Maidens go down the hill. No. 5 Cheekaboomboom comes off a little layoff for Eurton and gets the services of the good turf rider Prat, look for a big effort. No. 10 Kings River King gets a great post, has been working good and is bred to like this course and the price will be right. 5-10
Race 7
$25k claimers go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Informality has back-to-back good works for this and looks loaded. No. 5 We Go Now gets his first start off the $25k claim and will get a great trip with Maldo on today.
3-5
Race 8
$50k statebred maidens go six furlongs. No. 4 My Boy Rudy is a first time starter out of the dam Stop the Humor who has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters, he is live. No. 9 Tanners Pride drops from straight maiden races and ran good one race back when Joe Talamo was on and he gets back on today. 4-9

$40k optional fillies and mares go a mile on the grass. Mike Smith is here for one ride and it’s the last race? He is on comebacker No. 1 Blame It On Alphie who broke her maiden going a mile on the grass first out of the box last year at Del Mar, that last work says she is on GO! No. 2 Special Gal exits our HTW list off a good try last out going this mile turf distance. No. 10 Looking At Thelake exits our HTW list off a huge win first out after shipping in from Gulfstream Park. She was claimed by John Sadler for $50k and it’s a good sign that he puts her in this claimproof spot. 1-2-10
