SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Sometimes I need to look and see if this is “the great race place” or Golden Gate, we are at Santa Anita and have just another five horse field to start the day and that’s before scratches. No. 3 Kenriya gets Nakatani riding for Baltas and that has been a hot hookup. No. 5 Bellamentary comes off the layoff for D’Amato, she gets her first try on the grass and gets Prat. 3-5

Race 2

$20k fillies and mares go a flat mile on the dirt and we get a field of seven before scratches. No. 1 Silken Road is the only first-time starter in a very weak group. No. 4 My Heart Is Yours gets her second start off the layoff and second at this level, she is the one to beat. No. 7 Online Request drops to her lowest level and is the main threat to My Heart is Yours. 4**-7-1

Race 3

A field of seven go down the hill. No. 1 Who Cares just missed by 3/4 of a length in his last start down the hill. No. 5 Calvert Street is in from Turf Paradise on a three race win streak, his jock Scott Stevens is in for the ride, she is one for one on the grass. No. 6 Eichel exits the same race as Who Cares and gets Tyler back on today. 1-5-6

Race 4

$30k maiden 3yo fillies go a flat mile on the dirt. No. 4 Scavenger Hunt drops, gets Prat and is the speed. No. 6 Quiet No More will try and run her down. 4-6

Race 5

Statebred maidens go a mile on the grass. No. 1 Path of Exile has a big time last work and looks to wake up in this spot. No. 4 Hi Heat Boy exits the same race and may like the stretchout. No. 8 Thermopolis is the barnmate of Hi Heat Boy and a must use. 1-4-8

Race 6

$75k maidens go six furlongs. No. 3 Remesses comes off the layoff for Baffert, this 4yo cost $240k, he exits a better than looked effort with better and has a good last work. No. 4 Whiskey Ginger had a horrible start in his first start, he gets Bejarano today and will go much better with a clean break. 3-4

Race 7

We get $6,250 claimers going six furlongs and this one is wide open, it’s either hit the all button or use No. 9 Ebony Cat and No. 8 Stately Command who won here at this level one race back. 8-9 (all).

Race 8

We will take our shot here and single No. 3 Dissension who gets the stretchout and Bejarano today, all system are a go for this 7yo mare for the hot Peter Miller. The hookups if playing trifectas and supers are the No. 5 Mint Julep Taffy. No. 6 Wealthy Shipman. No. 7 Handfull and No. 8 Well Caught. 3**-5-6-7-8
