One of my favorite seafood restaurants is Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab located at 3500 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Joe’s started in Miami back in 1913. Joseph Weiss and his wife served their fine food on the front porch of their house. Over 100 years later and the franchise is still going strong.

Joe’s is best known for Florida Stone Crab but the menu has something for everyone. I had the Grilled Seafood Platter consisting of jumbo shrimp, lobster tail and scallops, grilled and served over a butter garlic sauce. The portion was large and the food was excellent. The butter garlic sauce was the perfect compliment. At $39.95 I found this to be a very good value.

If you like fish the Dover Sole is a must try as your waiter will debone the fish table side for you. The presentation is almost as good as the fish itself, which will just melt in your mouth; and the brown butter sauce puts it over the top. Dover Sole is one of the mildest tasting fishes you will try.

Joe’s also has a great selection of prime steaks, including three special steaks – Joe’s Bone-In Signature Prime Steaks. These are hand carved steaks direct from master butchers, the finest cuts. Trust me, if given the choice between a boneless or bone-in steak always take the bone-in. The flavor will be so much better.

Save room for dessert there are a lot of tempting choices, including Joe’s famous Key Lime Pie. Each month Joe’s has one special pie for its Pie it Forward promotion. If you order a slice of the special pie that month Joe’s will donate $1 from each slice to Opportunity Village here in Las Vegas, a win-win for everyone.

I give Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab a Rating of 3.75 Forks.
