After two games, the Stars vs. Kraken series is tied up 1-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Dallas Stars evened up the series with a 4-2 win on Thursday.

The series heads to the Pacific Northwest for Game 3 after Dallas hosted the first two games. We’ll take a look at the Stars vs. Kraken odds, props, and predictions before puck drops on Game 3 Sunday afternoon.

The Stars’ odds dropped after losing the first game but with the series tied up again, Dallas is priced at -210 to win the series at DraftKings Sportsbook. Seattle to advance was down to even money when they held a one-game lead; the Kraken are currently at +180 to move on.

Stars vs. Kraken Betting News

The Seattle Kraken have been one of the NHL’s biggest postseason surprises. They defeated the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, in seven games to advance to the second round. It was the franchise’s first-ever playoff series win and the Kraken started their second-round series with a 5-4 overtime win.

Dallas began their postseason with a first-round series against the Minnesota Wild. The Stars won the series, 4-2, to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

Joe Pavelski, fresh off a four-goal game in the series opener, netted his fifth goal of the series in the second period. After a scoreless first period, Pavelski, Wyatt Johnston, and Evgenii Dadonov all scored to put the Stars up 3-1 going into the third period. Tye Kartye scored a second-period wrist shot for the Kraken.

The Kraken battered the Stars’ net early in the third period but the Stars’ defense didn’t budge. Tyler Seguin tipped in the puck halfway through the third to stretch Dallas’ lead to three goals. Seattle’s Jordan Eberle, with an assist from Yanni Gourde, scored late in the third but the Kraken were unable to close the gap.

Jake Oettinger tended net for the Stars and saved 25 of the 27 shots he faced. Philipp Grubauer saved 33 of the 37 shots he faced in goal for the Seattle Kraken.

Dallas outshot the Kraken, 37 to 27, and went one-for-three on the power play. Seattle failed to capitalize on their one power play opportunity. Dallas’ physicality helped them dominate the faceoff game, winning 44-of-64 faceoffs in Thursday’s game.
