This week I tried a new bar-restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago, 90 NINETY Bar + Grill, inside Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Summerlin.

The bar has a hip decor. Be sure to check out the lights on the one wall as they are part of Las Vegas history. These lights were refurbished from the Stardust Casino and were part of one of the most iconic Vegas signage. When it came to neon lights on the Strip the Stardust sign was always my favorite. So, having some of the Stardust lights in this bar was a nice touch by the Boyd company.

90 NINETY isn’t a sports bar but if you want to keep an eye on a game you have a bet on, don’t worry, there are plenty of TV’s throughout the bar. The bar has a nice vibe and is a great place to meet friends for drinks and hang out. They have an outdoor patio that has tables for dining and an area with couches to just sit and chill with your gang. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary or a business function they also have a private room that can accommodate 14. They have live music in the dining area on certain nights as well.

I was invited to a tasting of the menu, so I got to try several items. The first item was a giant soft pretzel that is great if you are having a drink and watching a game. Next on the tasting menu was Poke Nachos with Ahi Tuna. These were good and had a nice bite to them with the jalapeños. One of my favorites was the Grilled Fish Tacos with Pacific Mahi Mahi. If you like fish tacos be sure to try these.

We sampled some of their pizzas; all the dough is made fresh in house daily. One of the appetizers that may not sound good on the surface actually was quite good. The Buffalo Cauliflower was excellent, and I am not a fan of Cauliflower. They deep fry the Cauliflower with a Buffalo beer batter and toss it with Buffalo sauce.

The Italian Meatball appetizer was great. The meatballs were very tasty and the san marzano sauce was spot on. One of their signature sandwiches is their Brisket Grilled Cheese. Everyone loves grilled cheese sandwiches, but they just took grilled cheese to another level as they added beef brisket. This is a great combination and a “must try.”

Last but not least were the desserts. Yes, I said desserts, and I was lucky enough to try three different ones. The first one to come out was the hot mini donuts with cinnamon sugar and three dipping sauces. These were great but so was our second dessert – Salted Caramel Crunch. This was a giant warm pan cookie with vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream and caramel drizzle.

If you are looking for a great light summertime dessert I recommend the Warm Butter Cake with fresh seasonal berries. All three were amazing you won’t go wrong with any of them.

The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was good. I give 90 NINETY Bar + Grill a rating of 3.75 Forks.
