After an extremely successful season of anytime touchdown scorer props picks here at Gaming Today, we move on to Super Bowl LVI between the Bengals and Rams. According to oddsboards around the betting market, the over/under total ranges from 48 to 48.5, implying six touchdowns will be scored at SoFi Stadium on February 13.

With the Super Bowl attracting such large betting handle, odds tend to be sharper than usual. Also, it’s often not worth betting highly-juiced props, like Cooper Kupp anytime touchdown scorer at -190 (65.52% implied). Some handicappers may recommend these bets and are happy to show off a great record. I prefer to find the value that can make a good profit.

Some of my highlights of this past season include Zach Wilson anytime TD scorer +1050 in Week 15, Rob Gronkowski 2+ TDs +900 in Week 13, and Matthew Stafford anytime TD scorer +1600 in the Divisional Round against Tampa Bay. Below, you will see more plus-money anytime TD scorer props.

Super Bowl Anytime Touchdown Scorer Props

Joe Burrow Anytime Touchdown Scorer +650 (Caesars Sportsbook)

There is a bit of a disagreement in terms of odds for this prop. As we saw in the Bengals win over the Chiefs last weekend, Joe Burrow is ready and willing to run when necessary. In the AFC Championship Game, Burrow ran for 25 yards on five attempts. There is some concern he was not hunting for the endzone with his legs, but at +650, I will take the plunge. This prop is a long shot compared to those that follow.

Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown Scorer +110 | 2+ TDs +600 (FanDuel)

The Rams have one of the best pass rushes in the league. Here are some stats for you, though: Los Angeles gave up the second fewest touchdowns to opposing WRs (10) during the regular season and allowed only four touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Furthermore, the Rams are middle of the pack against opposing running backs, ranking 14th in rushing touchdowns allowed to opposing RBs (11) during the regular season, per FootballDatabase.

The Bengals have an elite offense and a running back who has been underused during the playoffs. Take this anytime touchdown scorer prop at a discount, as the Bengals look to neutralize a fierce pass rush by running the ball. Mixon scoring makes a Burrow touchdown less likely, so these are not same game parlay worthy.

Odell Beckham Jr. Anytime TD Scorer +130 (DraftKings)

Since joining the Rams midseason, Odell Beckham Jr. looked closer to his New York Giants-self than we have seen in years. Beckham was a target hog near the endzone during the regular season, and while Cooper Kupp is clearly the preferred target, Beckham is a solid second option. His 11 targets last week were a season-high, and a few broken tackles could’ve easily led to a long touchdown. This is an opportunity to cash in big as a free agent this offseason, one game to go to show off what he can do.

First Touchdown Scorer Props For Super Bowl 56

This is where we break down the first touchdown scorer props for the 2022 Super Bowl. None of our picks are going to be favorites — in fact, they’re all longshots. It is fair to expect this bet to end in an unlikely first touchdown scorer.

These are the first touchdown scorers in the last 10 Super Bowls:

55: Rob Gronkowski (Buccaneers)
54: Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs)
53: Sony Michel (Patriots)
52: Alshon Jeffery (Eagles)
51: Devonta Freeman (Falcons)
50: Malik Jackson (Broncos Defense)
49: Brandon LaFell (Patriots)
48: Marshawn Lynch (Seahawks)
47: Anquan Boldin (Cardinals)
46: Victor Cruz (Giants)

Joe Burrow First TD Scorer +3400 (FanDuel)

Joe Burrow has shown the willingness to run, especially in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs. We all know that Von Miller and Aaron Donald are coming for him. Burrow will need to be ready to jump from the pocket and leap into the end zone.

Kendall Blanton First TD Scorer +1800 (DraftKings)

According to Peter Schrager on the Bill Simmons podcast, Tyler Higbee is unlikely to play. Blanton was a major beneficiary of the increased playing time, catching all five targets for 57 yards two weeks ago against the 49ers. He also scored a touchdown in Tampa Bay the week prior despite Higbee playing.

Ben Skowronek First TD Scorer +7000 (BetRivers)

I almost feel like I should apologize for even offering this, but I can’t apologize for value. Almost every other sportsbook has Ben Skowronek to score the first touchdown at +2900 or less. BetRivers is disrespecting Skowronek with these odds. Although, he deserves it for dropping an easy touchdown last time out.
