And then there was one. The Big Game. And just like we have been doing all season long, we offer our best player prop bets for Super Bowl 56. Our excellent playoff showcase was preceded by a profitable regular season. The run continues with the Super Bowl player prop best bets for Sunday.
If you missed it, I have already made my selections for anytime touchdown scorers. This prop picks article features player over/unders for the Super Bowl. There are tons of other options to bet on, though.
My colleagues have you covered on those, too. Most of those are linked at the bottom of this page. But you can also check out Gaming Today’s Bob Christ and his longshot and cross-sport Super Bowl prop bets.
Let’s end the season on a hot note! And make sure to follow the advice of Furio from The Sopranos and …. “Bet with your head, not over it.”
Super Bowl Player Prop Best Bets
Odell Beckham Jr. Over 60.5 Receiving Yards -115 (PointsBet)
The showstopper Odell Beckham Jr. has been on a tear for the L.A. Rams. Matthew Stafford has looked his way in zone coverage constantly, especially against cover two. However, the Bengals play more Cover-3 and Cover-1.
But we have seen Beckham roast defenses playing man coverage. If the Bengals’ plan is to play man coverage with a safety over the top against Kupp, Beckham’s production should be big.
Cam Akers Under 16.5 Receiving Yards -110 (FanDuel)
Perhaps a little bit of buyer’s remorse is hitting the Rams for bringing him back so soon. Akers split carries last week with Sony Michel, and Akers was noticeably absent as a pass blocker. Perhaps he gets some dump-offs, but 16.5 feels like a lot of receiving yards.
Sony Michel Over 4.5 Rush Attempts -135 (DraftKings)
I’m expecting Michel to pick up some of that missed work from Akers we just talked about. Michel had 11 carries in the NFC Championship Game and was not particularly effective. However, we are not betting on productivity. Michel not getting five carries would be a shocker on Sunday.
Matthew Stafford Over 2.5 Rush Attempts -105 (BetMGM)
Perhaps my favorite bet of the weekend, Matthew Stafford is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to win this game. Also, kneel-downs count as rushing attempts. This is to say if the Rams are up late and he has one attempt, two kneel-downs in victory formation cash this ticket. The -105 is a bargain, when he has easily cashed this prop in the Rams’ three prior playoff games.
Van Jefferson Under 33.5 Receiving Yards -110 (FanDuel)
I have been a Van Jefferson supporter for most of the season. I believe in his talent, but I do not believe in his current role. The Rams are focused on Kupp and Beckham to bring them to the Promised Land, and last week Jefferson had eight yards receiving. He is a fade again this week.
