The traditional Super Bowl point spread is one way to bet on Chiefs vs. Eagles, but sportsbooks are offering alternate betting lines that can provide more value and higher payouts.

Bettors backing the Chiefs and Eagles can increase their winnings by laying more points on the spread, which has settled in at Eagles -1.5 across most sportbooks after some early volatility in the market. There has been a small move toward the Chiefs in Super Bowl betting at a few respected books in Las Vegas.

How should you attack Super Bowl 57 alternate betting lines? Read on whether you’re convinced the Chiefs or Eagles will win the Big Game, while keeping in mind that odds will change ahead of kickoff and to shop around several sportsbook apps for the best lines for your bets.

As a point of comparison, here is the standard Super Bowl point spread from top sports betting apps.

Best Alternate Super Bowl Point Spreads for Betting the Chiefs

Full disclosure: This section is designed for bettors who believe the Chiefs should not be an underdog in this game.

Kansas City led the NFL in scoring during the regular season at 29.2 points per game. Patrick Mahomes had an extra week to recover from a high ankle sprain suffered in the Divisional round win against Jacksonville.

Bettors in this camp believe he’ll be close to full strength against the Eagles, and that’ll be more than enough to warrant betting on the Chiefs to win outright.

Instead of being a slave to the primary point spread, they’re looking at odds on the Chiefs that will generate higher returns on their wagers. The alternate spreads on the Chiefs looked like this at DraftKings:

Alternate Super Bowl Betting Lines for Chiefs From DraftKings Sportsbook
Chiefs -2.5 (+116)
Chiefs -3 (+139)
Chiefs -3.5 (+156)
Chiefs -4 (+168)
Chiefs -6 (+221)
Chiefs -6.5 (+233)
Chiefs -7 (+277)
Chiefs -7.5 (+293)
Chiefs -8 (+320)
Chiefs -9 (+339)
Chiefs -9.5 (+343)
Chiefs -10 (+396)

Let’s focus on key numbers here. Why would you bet $110 to win $100 on Chiefs +1.5  (-110) when you believe Kansas City will win by at least a field goal? You wouldn’t. Instead, bet $100 on the Chiefs -2.5 to win $116. That’s a better return than betting the Chiefs on the moneyline at +105.

If you’re really bullish on the Chiefs and believe they’ll win by at least a TD, bet KC -6.5 at odds of +233. That $100 bet will pay out $333 ($233 in winnings and your $100 stake back).

What if you’re also confident that Chiefs TE Travis Kelce can’t be stopped, and rookie RB Isiah Pacheco will run wild against the Eagles? This game has all the makings of a double-digit win by KC.

Your bet should be on KC -9.5 at juicy +343 odds. You will more than triple your money if the Chiefs win by at least 10 points.

Best Alternate Super Bowl Point Spreads for Betting the Eagles

Philadelphia backers are touting the strength of the Eagles on the defensive side of the ball. They believe if Mahomes is compromised at all — and not as mobile as usual — then Haason Reddick and Co. will feast with multiple sacks on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Eagles led the NFL in sacks (70) during the regular season. Reddick, who led Philadelphia with 16 sacks in the regular season, was a one-man wrecking crew in the 31-7 win over San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game. He registered two sacks, forced a fumble recovery, recovered a fumble, and knocked 49ers QB Brock Purdy from the game.

Philadelphia supporters will also tell you that QB Jalen Hurts is every bit as dynamic as Mahomes — and he’s fully recovered from a should injury that hampered him late this season. Hurts has aerial threats in WRs AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, but he can also kill you with his legs. He’s accounted for 35 TDs on the season and 13 have come on the ground.

Here are alternate betting spreads to potentially exploit on the Eagles:

Alternate Super Bowl Betting Lines for Eagles From DraftKings Sportsbook
Eagles -2.5 (-102)
Eagles -3 (+116)
Eagles -3.5 (+138)
Eagles -4 (+144)
Eagles -4.5 (+149)
Eagles -6 (+180)
Eagles -6.5 (+190)
Eagles -7 (+222)
Eagles -7.5 (+237)
Eagles -9 (+275)
Eagles -9.5 (+278)
Eagles -10 (+320)

We haven’t even mentioned RBs Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell, who can inflict damage on the ground. Philadelphia fans are known for being an aggressive lot. So, we’ll start with the Eagles covering this game by double digits.

Betting $100 on the Eagles -9.5 at +278 odds will return $378 ($278 in winnings and your $100 bet stake back). Betting them to win by a TD is priced at +190, and you can get a -102 price on the Eagles to win by a FG. Those are all attractive numbers when you consider the moneyline bet on Philadelphia -125.

Alternate Over/Unders for Super Bowl

Alternate lines can also enhance your winnings when betting the Super Bowl 57 total, which sits at 51 (-110) at most oddsboards as of Saturday. Under players can increase their potential winnings by adjusting the total downward, and Over bettors can be progressively rewarded by moving that number up.

Let’s take a look at Super Bowl alternate totals here:

Alternate Super Bowl Totals From DraftKings SportsbookUnderOver
45+188-253
46+169-225
47+151-198
48+127-170
49+116-150
51.5-120-107
52-127-102
53-142+110
54-160+123
55-183+140

There’s an interesting trend ongoing when it comes to the Super Bowl total. The Under has now cashed in four consecutive Super Bowls. Furthermore, the Eagles won the last Super Bowl in a game that went Over in 2018. Philadelphia beat New England, 41-33, in that contest.

Fun facts: The last six games in this year’s NFL Playoffs have cashed on the Under. The Chiefs and Eagles are deadlocked at 28.7 points per game as the NFL’s highest-scoring teams when you include the postseason. There are conflicting trends here, for sure.

We wouldn’t fault you for going Over or Under on this year’s Big Game, but use alternate totals if you have a strong conviction one way or the other.
