The Dad & Daughter Duel: NFL Week 12 Betting Picks

This week is a special week of football with three televised games on Thanksgiving, making it is one of my favorite football weeks of the year. Unfortunately, both my teams have a bye this week, but there are still plenty of great games on the Week 12 slate including TWO AFC North division battles.

Last week was also full of some great matchups including a few shocking outcomes.

Last Week’s Results

Dad –  5 games right (7-3 -1)

Calli –  7 games right (3-7-1)

Since dad and I picked all the same teams, this week ended in a tie and he was going to keep the lead no matter what. We ended up getting nine out of the 15 games right.

The Buffalo Bills losing to the Colts was a surprise. Especially because Josh Allen struggled again this week throwing two interceptions.

The Vikings and Packers game was one of the best games of the season where both quarterbacks duked it out. Kirk Cousins threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers had four passing touchdowns and 385 passing yards. The Vikings got the 34 to 31  victory in the final seconds of the game with a 29-yard field goal.

The biggest upset of the week was the Titans losing to the Texans. No one saw that coming with the Texans as a 10-point underdog on DraftKings. But the Titans couldn’t come up with a game plan without Derrick Henry and the five turnovers certainly didn’t help.

Week 12 Picks

Teams with byes: Cardinals and Chiefs

This week there are three games that Dad and I disagree on.

Of course, one being the Las Vegas Raiders game and the Dallas Cowboys. I just don’t see Dak Prescott and the Cowboys losing three games in a row. Especially if CeeDee Lamb plays. As of Wednesday night, he was listed as still questionable.

I went with Jacksonville over Atlanta. This was a tough matchup to choose from as both teams are struggling. Atlanta is 4-6 and Jacksonville is 2-8. But after Matt Ryan’s performance on Thursday, I think the Jaguars can pull off a win at home.

As for the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles game, I am going with the Giants for some crazy reason. I have a feeling that the Eagles’ two-game winning streak will be broken and the Giants will be ready for a win after a brutal loss to Tampa Bay on Monday night.

Week 12 Games To Watch

Bills Vs. Saints

The Buffalo Bills lost in Week 11 putting the New England Patriots in first of the AFC East. The Bills take on the Saints on Thanksgiving and it should be a good game to see if Josh Allen and the Bills can get back on track. Caesars has the Bills at -6.

AFC North Games

AFC North is a close division and it is a week full of AFC North matchups with the Ravens hosting the Browns and the Bengals hosting the Steelers.

Chargers Vs. Broncos

Another big division game takes place in Week 12 with the Chargers taking on the Broncos. The AFC West is extremely close and if the Chargers win, they will take over first since the Chiefs have a bye.
