As we head into week 3 of the NFL season, only seven teams remain undefeated. And unfortunately, my dad wins again in week 2, making him undefeated as well.

The good news? It is only my second week dabbling in sports betting, and I did hit a parlay off a free $20 bet. Score!

Last Week’s Results

Dad – 12 games right (2-0)

Calli – 11 games right (0-2)

Yes, my dad won again. I had 11 games right, he had 12. There was only one game where we picked a different winner, and my dad ended up picking the right team, the Chicago Bears.

It did end up being a close game for the Bears and Cincinnati Bengals, but the Bears took the W and so did dad.

There were a couple of games that we agreed on, but the ending didn’t turn out how we predicted. Like the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens game. I was traveling during the game, so I didn’t see much of it, but the Chiefs losing was surprising to everyone.

Now, the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos lead the AFC West with 2-0 records. The NFC West is also on a roll, with the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers all with undefeated records.

Of course, my dad and I are both picking the Arizona Cardinals to dominate the Jacksonville Jaguars. And the Buffalo Bills beat the Washington Football Team. But there are a few games that we disagree on this week.

Atlanta Falcons Vs. New York Giants

The Atlanta Falcons have started off the season 0-2 getting blown out by more than 20 points in each game. But the New York Giants aren’t starting off any better, with a 0-2 record as well. But they did come close to winning last Thursday night’s game against the Washington Football Team. Dad is picking the Giants, a 3-point favorite on NFL odds boards, but I think the Falcons will be able to pull off the win somehow.

Indianapolis Colts Vs. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Titans are 1-1 after beating the Seahawks in an overtime thriller last Sunday. The Colts are 0-2 after losing to the Seahawks in week 1 and the Rams in week 2. If Derek Henry can put on a show like he did last week, the Colts stand no chance against the Titans.

New Orleans Saints Vs. New England Patriots

The Saints are 1-1 and so are the Patriots. Quarterback Jameis Winston started off the season strong with five touchdowns in the team’s win against the Green Bay Packers in week 1. But threw zero touchdowns and two interceptions in the Saints’ loss to the Carolina Panthers last week.

As for the Patriots, rookie quarterback Mac Jones has had a solid start, throwing one touchdown and 281 yards in a close loss to the Miami Dolphins in week 1. The Patriots beat the New York Jets last Sunday, with Mac Jones throwing for only 186 yards and no touchdowns, but also no interceptions. This game will come down to which quarterback will play the best, and I just see Jones playing more consistently.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams and with both teams being undefeated, we expect this game to be a high-scoring battle. I went with the GOAT Tom Brady and the Bucs where my dad is taking the home team, the Rams.

Week 3 Games To Watch

The Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins game is going to be interesting. Tua Tagovailoa is out of the game, with Jacoby Brissett being named the starter for the Dolphins. Quarterback Derek Carr had an injury scare last week against the Steelers but fully participated in practice on Wednesday, meaning he will most likely start on Sunday. This is a must for the Raiders, with Marcus Mariota on IR. But the Raiders did sign quarterback Kyle Sloter to replace him.

The Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns game will also be interesting since Justin Fields has been named the starting quarterback. Andy Dalton is suffering an injury and Nick Foles has been named the backup. The Browns shouldn’t have a problem beating the Bears, but it will give rookie Justin Fields some much-needed field time.

Of course, my dad and I will be eyeing the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers game since it is a division game. Both teams are 1-1 and this game could make a difference when it comes to who makes it to the playoffs. The Chiefs are coming off a tough loss to the Ravens and the Chargers lost in a close game against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. Both teams will be hungry to win and we expect it to be a great game.

The Sunday night game is a 2019 AFC Championship rematch, with the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Green Bay Packers. Both teams are undefeated. The Packers are coming off an impressive performance on Monday night against the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers seemed to get his groove back throwing four touchdowns and Davante Adams racked up a total of 121 rushing yards. It is going to be one of the best games of the season, but my dad and I both agree that the 49ers will get the W.
