When Tiger Woods withdrew last week in the final round of the Players Championship, the Las Vegas Hilton Super Book’s Jeff Sherman had seen enough to believe Woods isn’t ready and bumped Woods’ June U.S. Open odds to win from 4 to 1 up to 5 to 1.
Woods claimed a nagging neck injury forced him to withdraw, only the second time in his career that he’s withdrawn from a tournament.
In three starts to the season now, he’s completed only one – finishing 4th at the Masters and missing the cut at Quail Hollow where his 36 round score (153) was the worst of his career.
