UFC Fight Night 238 Betting Preview: Rozenstruik vs. Gaziev

Jairzinho Rozenstruik (13-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) is looking to bounce back and hold on to his No. 12 ranking in the heavyweight division.

Rozenstruik is 2-3 in his last five fights. But in three of those fights, he has been the main event. Granted, most of those have been at the Apex.

His UFC career started with a four-fight win streak, including finishes over Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem. Rozenstruik’s resume also includes wins over Junior Dos Santos and Augusto Sakai.

On the other side of the coin, Rozenstruik has been finished by the likes of Francis Ngannou, Jailton Almeida, and  Alexander Volkov.

Lining up on the other side of the Octagon on Saturday night is Shamil Gaziev (12-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC).

Gaziev, an alum from the Dana White Contender Series, is looking to move into the top 15 with a win over Rozenstruik. This may sound ridiculous after just two fights and it sort of is, but the heavyweight roster doesn’t run too deep at the moment.

But Gaziev is scary. Of his 12 fights so far, he has 11 finishes. He has proven that he can finish fights on the feet and on the ground.

This is more than likely a heavyweight matchup that will not hear the final bell. It might not even hear the bell at the end of the first round.

The winner will more than likely get a top-10 matchup next. Names like Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa stick out as potential summer matchups.

UFC Fight Night 238 Betting Trend

In all five of his career losses, Jairzinho Rozenstruik was the betting underdog.
